Could anyone who ever fought at 130-140 have stopped Chavez?

No disrespect, but your wrong there. He was a devastating body puncher at 135 and even HBO was asking where he left his body punches when he moved up to 147. That is one of the reasons he was a beast at 135. Short lived though.

What gameplan would he develop for Mosley? Would he suddenly become a boxer puncher with a jab like Vernon Forrest and a defense like Winky Wright?

Or a one sided ass whoopin. But we can agree to disagree. :good

flashy, but not a devasting body puncher bro..it was more to drop the hands so that he can tee off on the head...
chavez was a brutal body puncher who would ko men with them shots.....

I said I liked while he was at 135 when he left 135 I stopped liking him. I wanted him to go to 140 and fight Zoo it robbed me off a great fight. I also thought he declined as a fighter at 147. I preferred his style at 135 he was a great body puncher there.

Not a walk in the park, but I see this match as being one where Mosley holds the advantages. Not counting Chavez entirely out, but he just matches poorly with Mosley.

Mosley raked numerous guys to the body during his title defenses at 135.

    Johnson, Ceballos, Brown, Leija.

It was key in his wins over De La Hoya and Margarito. He wrecked Taylor to the body and hurt Estrada several times to the body.

Mosley's been a very good body puncher for years.

All I am saying is look at Chavez's resume. He beat boxers, sluggers, boxer puncher, fast fighters, tall fighters, etc. Shane seems to always want to prove he can slug and he could get caught with that left hook. Shane would give, but he would take too. Chavez by no means was slow either. I am just registering how Chavez fought back then and Mosley and I really belief it would hav been a good fight that would go to Don King, I mean cards.

Could? Yes. Duran could, Mosley could, Tszyu could, Pryor could, De La Hoya could, Arguello could...

Would I favour any of them to do it? Hell no.

I truly feel that Shane felt he was unbeatable at 135 and would have came in ready to go to war and dominate. BTW Shane had just as good of a chin as Chavez does and Shane has only been dropped once and that was against Forrest with a the damage coming from a head butt. Sahne is a bigger and stronger guy than JCC is. If he could take shots from Winky, Oscar and Forrest he could take shots from JCC.:deal

i aint saying he wasn't a good one, but him and chavez are 2 different kinds of body punchers....chavez was a beast to the body in every fight, where as mosley sometimes abondoned the body work....

man, the more i think of this the more i drool over a chavez vs mosley fight at 135

I think at 147 he simply fell in love with his power and abandoned a lot of what made him great at 135. Instead of letting out those sick combos to the head and body he seemed to look for a KO blow

The beatdown of Edwin Rosario was textbook brutality. At the time i leaned towards Rosario.
    Wrong.

No doubt. Give me some credit, of course I know Mosley has one of the best chins out there. With this said, the fight would go to the cards.
