I would definitely give Alexis a chance to beat Mayweather at 130 or 135. Possibly even by stoppage if he was at the top of his game that night. Arguello would likely get outpointed in a snoozer at Junior Welterweight.

I doubt it. For the same reason I'm not sure Arguello wins more than a few rounds against Whitaker. He just doesn't have the mobility and pressure needed to take enough rounds from a May or Whitaker type.

At 130/135 lbs, if Alexis is smart, he, as the Champ, makes Mayweather fight in LA, Miami or points further south like Nicaragua itself (or Mexico City or San Juan).

Then demand 15 rounds & Reyes gloves, and have Mayweather give Alfredo Escalera a call so
Mayweather will know exactly what is getting ready to happen to ol' Money.

Yes 130 135 15 rds. I'd pick Arguello with an honest ref in there.

Sheeeeeeiiit!# Mayweather NEVER fought anyone with the variety of danger Arguello had. Prime Alexis, over 15, times, hits to Mayweather s body to slow and break him down and then takes him out. Remember, at 130, Floyd was at his best but also a fighter, who had a sterling offense. This is a great fight. Action fight. Arguello wins it.

Love the respect Arguello gets around here lately.

One of my favorite fighters, even love listening to the guy shoot the breeze and talk. Seemed like a fantastic man, with a big and most importantly warm, personality.

Always seemed like a great guy, very respectful and modest. I think a prime Mayweather would have humiliated him though.

I'd definitely give Arguello a chance. Mayweather never beat anybody as good as Arguello, unless maybe you mean Arguello after the Pryor fights.

Nobody is beating Floyd at 130. Okay maybe Armstrong but thats no cinch.

ETM chances thin. He can punch but he would have to have some good fortune to catch that speed demon.
