Could Buster Douglas "norton-ize" Ali (mid-70's)

Ali was always troubled by a fighter that "neutralized" Ali's left jab.
(Eddie Fultz had Norton throw his left at the same time Ali did).

Douglas was as tall as Ali, plus he has a slightly longer reach.

Plus, if Douglas is in the mental & physical shape he was for a ferocious fighter like Tyson, then he isn't going to be intimidated by Ali's biss-ant tactics.

Of course the judging is going to have to be a factor......so Douglas is going to have to have a few rounds where he is clearly superior to eked out a decision win.

saw douglas v tucker and he was ok only
saw douglas v holyfield and he was poor
saw douglas v tyson and he was a mastrer technician /great jab /will to win / combo
punching /2 handed / fighter with power.

styles make fights and obviously the short frazier type fighter suited the up for it douglas.

    .
he was really a one hit wonder / he had great talent / tyson fight made that clear but he lacked motivation 90% of the time so you have to say in all probabilty no he could not get up for ali and do a norton .

probably had more talent / but definatley not the drive and will to win of norton.

norton did the best he could with the abilty he had

douglas would not be remembered at all except for the tyson fight when for once he laid it all on the line.
