Could Bute make it through his whole career without fighting one of the top guys?

See the thing is, Kessler and Froch were willing to fight the best and when you're willing to fight the best you're going to come up short somtimes but even though they have losses they also have bigger wins then anything on Bute's resume.

They had the opportunity to be part of the tourney and it's was because of the tournement that they fought each other because it was easier to make those fight happens. Bute wasn't invited.

Bute has been willing but was denied the possibility

if Showtime hadnt ****ed up and left out a top 3 title holder this mess would have been sorted in the tourney

Bute just didnt get the opportunities Ward and Froch got in the tournament

if he was in the tournament he would have got the top fights

i think its quite obvious that if a tournament has the the best guys, and your not in the tournament, then you cant fight the best guys

this wasnt by choice do you really think Bute wanted to be sidelined making less money in less important fights while watching these other guys become stars i doubt it

These fans don't realize that as long as Bute can make good money fighting C class fighters in his backyard he will continue to do so. It's that simple.

This is getting boring! According to the "Bute Brigade" everything he has done so far has been excellent, and everyone else is to blame when it comes to landing the big fights.
Sorry guys but the boxingworld simply does not work that way.

On the other side Bute bashers turns up, who for some reason dont want to acknowlegde that Bute is indeed a very skilled fighter.

All in all a vicious circle that wont end anytime soon! Merry X-mas!

Bute indeed appears to be a skilled fighter (against C level competition)

    :-(

I guess you should talk **** while you can..because once Bute starts beating the **** out of your bandwagons you'll have to jump ship or ride Bute's dick to the promised land.

Bute got left out of the Super 6 because he was an HBO fighter at the time, plain and simple. He beat the best HBO had to offer and now he went to Showtime for the sole purpose of getting in on the Super 6 action. Eventually, the fights will be made. Showtime will force Ward or Froch's hand.

Bute is on record as saying he's willing to fight Andre Ward in Oakland. While Ward insists on Bute fighting other "top fighters" first and says that he's more interested in a rematch with Mikkel Kessler.

Mikkel Kessler turned down a Bute fight, saying Interbox "low-balled" him. Though apparently, Kessler was offered 750k plus money from Showtime and 100% of the money from Danish TV. By comparison, Andre Ward made 900k against Froch in the Super Six Finals, while Froch made $600k plus additional money from UK television. Kessler likely would have made more than Froch and Ward both.

And Kelly Pavlik reportedly turned down a million dollar payday to face Bute.

For someone supposedly avoiding "top competition," Bute sure seems more willing to mix it up with them than vice versa. Though, it appears Carl Froch may be stepping up to the plate.

    this...^

honestly i don't see him fighting any of the top guys any time soon, certainly no unifications. he may fight ward and kessler (assuming he beats stiegletz) leftovers, but that's about it.
