Read the post again, and you will see why no Jimmy Wilde. Do you mean Frazier and Hopkins are too high or too low?
Listen, if Calzaghe invented a time machine and travelled back through time, taking on and KO-ing every fighter in the current ring top 100 ATG's (at their respective weights), he would not be considered an ATG by the esb members, so to answer the original post, the answer will be no.
i think that should calzaghe put away jones then takes one more good fight, say dawson or hopkins again, and wins, then he wont be that far off a mcallum . and i say this fully aware of how good the bodysnatcher was.
He will end up top 50 if he beats Jones and another top fighter before retiring undefeated. That ring list there has some names which I would place Calzaghe above if that happens. Trinidad is one example.
Remember that the list does not include many greats from before the last 80 years, like Greb, Langford, Wilde etc. With that in mind, I can't see how Joe could be considered top 50, not at all.
Joe is between 75 and 100. This is clear for me. If you think its difficult to imagine, try finding 100 names that clearly rank above him. It's not easy to do.
I think Frazier and Hopkins are too high to be honest. I think Calzaghe and BHOPs resumes are not that far apart so how the **** Bhop is 50 I just don't know looking at it fairly especially when some numptys on here reckon Calzaghe is between 100 - 150! ****ing jokers!
Joe's coming on strong late in his career may not quite do it. Maybe no fault of his own, he wasted his prime years fighting mostly relative unknowns. His wins over Hopkins, Kessler and Lacy shows that he has had the goods all along, but did not prove it enough early IMHO.
