why he is happy with his career, would you be happy and cll joe and atg if he got to 50 and beat at least 3 of the guys mentioned.

In terms of opponents if froch was to win against pascal i would chuck him in the list instead of one of the others.

There would be a few names better than Wright to go 50-0 with.

Namely any proven top 10 fighter at 168/175, who has fought in the past 18 months

i would favour Calzaghe against Dawson, Wright, and BHop.

Kessler i would favour over Joe Calzaghe

but i could see him winning all 4 as well as losing 2 out of 4

I find it hard to believe a guy who is not showing signs of nearing "shot" and is on 46-0 hasn't even considered going for 50-0. That's legendary status right there.

But if he does only have 1 left, who would you want it to be against?

If he got to 50-0 by beating these guys, then yes I would definitely acclaim him as an ATG.

I don't hate Calzaghe at all contrary to public perception, but I refuse to call someone an ATG with a resume as weak as his. If he improves it, I will call it like it is as always and acclaim that.

If he wanted to get to 50-O then I believe his best fights in order of getting there would be, Dawson, Taylor (assuming he beats Lacy), B-Hop, and then a farewell against Froch if he moves up in weight.

Winky is still one of the biggest names, well known by British fans too.

if he comes back with a few good wins, he would put himself in the mix...

He most definitely could beat Hopkins, but personally I don't think he would. He could because it would be another close fight and who knows how the scores would go. Judges seem to really appreciate the volume/activity of Calzaghe, I've often noticed that. I would strongly favour Hopkins in a rematch though. For a start, I think he could drop Joe again, possibly more than once, and that would give him a points advantage. There's no way in this world Calzaghe is dropping B-Hop, not with a baseball bat. I just think that Hopkins is what I call a Master Boxer. I thought he won the 1st fight by a point, but as he didn't get the decision, he will alter his gameplan to ensure victory this time. In addition to the way he rendered Calzaghe's attacks utterly ineffective last time out, he will be more aggressive and more active. His greater accuracy and power will catch the judges eye. As long as his stamina at 43 doesn't let him down, I'd strongly favour Hop to win a close but clear and thoroughly deserved UD.

Now let the abuse begin.....

    Just my opinion lads!

Even if he only beats Dawson and Hopkins and retires on 48-0, I'd say he's a great.

This thread is a waste of bandwidth. Calzaghe is retiring.
