Could Calzaghe outbox Joe Louis like Billy Conn did?

Well Calzaghe would take him into the 15th and then brutally KO him. Even though i'm a Brit i'm not biased.

Some of us say that people have forgotten how good Joe Louis was and they have.

More important to this thread, is the fact that people have forgotten how good Billy Conn was. His resume is incredible. He was well on his way to building a record like Ezzard Charles or Archie Moore before the war put a stop to it.

A pound for pound list for that period (if such had existed) would read something like this:

1. Henry Armstrong
2. Billy Conn
3. Joe Louis
4. Lou Ambers

Does that put it into perspective?

 

Joe Louis who was outweighed by 64 pounds and Max Baer outweighed by 51 pounds by your Superheavyweight absoluetly destroyed him.

and as to the part about Calzaghe that you said if you really believe that then you are either blind or can't see great ring craft from one of the greatest fighters in history Joe Louis would be able to trap Calzaghe in a corner sooner or latter and then it's over for Calzaghe,

Joe Louis has a case for being rated the hardest puncher in history, he broke mens arms with his punches and broke Max Schemling's vertabre in his back, and you think Calzaghe a man that was knocked down twice by blown up past there best lightheavy's is gonna not only last the distance but beat Joe Louis,
