Could Canelo be affected by 1 year lay off?

    People are forgetting in between all the Clenbuterol problems, Canelo has been inactive for exactly 1 year since the last fight with GGG. Whereas GGG has had a fight in between against Vanes.

    Could this year long lay off along with the accusations of PED usage affect Canelo in the rematch?

    Not really, it will be as if he signed with PBC.

    A lot of things could affect Canelo. The layoff, the knee surgery, the pressure from the backlash of the first fight. Honestly neither guy should be as good as they were in the first fight. It's another reason why I care less about the rematch than the first fight.

    lol Canelo always fights at least twice a year throughout his career, this will be the first time he fights only once in the last 12 months. PBC fighters are used to fighting once a year or less

    Ringrust might be a factor, but he's probably much more affected by his lack of "Mexican meat".

    GGG has essentially had 1 year off too unless you count 2 rounds with Vanes as a fight, anyway if he didn’t want the one year lay off he shouldn’t have cheated.

    Just catching up on the latest with regards to this fight... Canelos frame looks remarkably less bulky... Final proof!! He was a major juicer..
