Could Canelo survive 1 round against Beterbiev without getting KTFO?

Not sure if he could even if he avoided engaging Beterbiev the whole round.

 

In all seriousness if he avoids direct confrontation, as in running away all round he could avoid getting hit. But he himself won't be hitting Beterbiev.

 

He would probably be the best counter puncher that Arthur faced along with some of the best footwork and defense and he's got enough power to keep him honest along with hand speed. I would be surprised if Alvarez got stopped in the first round

 

Absolutely yes, even past-prime Canelo. He's always aware of getting hit and has sturdy chin, he blocks/slips most punches and can counter to keep his opponent away.

 

Yeah, in fact Canelo has a decent chance of seeing the final bell, but I would wager a late stoppage for Artur

 

Round 1? Yes. That's when Canelo is the most fresh

Second half? He would have eaten a few shots before then which would have slowed him down

Beterbiev hits you EVERYWHERE.

 

He might not be a clear winner, but Canelo matches up better with Artur than Bivol.

Beterbiev is going to be there to get hit, doubting Canelo here because he lost to Bivol shouldn't correlate at all. Bivol is a way worse style matchup for Canelo than Beterbiev, granted Canelo has more of a chance of getting stopped obviously.

 

Beterbiev dismantles all his opponents over a few rounds. If they both fight a match with only 1 rd and were to dispense all their energy in 3 mins, it’s a 50/50 fight.

 

Not many are willing stand and trade with either man. Canelo could land something big and hurt Beterbiev but in the end he is too small and Beterbiev is too savage. Canelo does well early but the punishment he takes will take its toll mid rounds.

 

This is just incorrect. Canelo would lose a decision. He is too defensively responsible and has granite chin and, like it or not, does counter-punch well enough to keep opponents responsible. Most that happens is Canelo takes a knee, but a stoppage isnt happening

A single round almost certainly. He might even make an entire fight if he was concerned only with reaching the final bell. But if Canelo tried to make it a fight he'd get KTFO.
