Could Cotto be p4p #1?

    He's only 31, in 2 years Mayweather and Pac may be retired, or past their prime. Not to mention tonight's Cotto probably would beat anybody in the world other than Mayweather. Despite Mayweather winning, most rounds were very close.

    He isn't the best 154 pound fighter even if you take Mayweather and Martinez off the table. So no, I don't see this happening.

    You're acting like Cotto won tonight. At the end of the day, Cotto lost and thats what matters.

    No, Cotto's on the decline. Too many hard fights and although he's an excellent fighter, he's not P4P #1 quality. Hell, in two years, he might be retired. Ward is my pick. He may already be the best boxer in the world.

    cotto is past his best and has been for a couple fights now. busting up floyds face doesnt make him great, it just makes floyd not so great.

    No. Cotto is more of an over achiver than a great boxer. He's never going to beat a top guy, or beatan a top guy. He'll also never be a real threat to do so.
