Gattis handlers didnt want him to face Fraud, he could have easily gone elsewhere and his fans would have followed him anyway. Gatti wanted the fight - props to him. Fraud on the other hand is Mr "Path of least resistance" he's proven it time and time again.

I think SRL seen the footage of Pryor smoking Herns in the ametures. It was a money move. A who's who pickings list. Not discrediting Heans by no means. Hearns was an animal and one of the PVP hardest hitters ever. But with all the Commotion happening at once, it was easy for SRL to seemingly slip thru the fingers of Pryor w/o much notice.
Honestly, I do not think SRL ducked Pryor presay, but did not want to form any kind of negociations.

I don't have the scorecard on hand for a fight that happend over a year ago.

Fact is, Clottey was beating Margarito to the punch in the beggining of the fight, rounds 1-4, which Margarito didn't lose all of them anyway, so what happened?

Margarito adjusted.

He came out in the fifth round and engaged Clottey form mid-distance, practically cut Clottey's workrate to zero while Margarito threw about 100 punches.

In the 6th round, Clottey, obviosly effected by the last round came out boxing, NOT HIS STYLE.

After Clottey discovered that he wasn't good at this, he went back into his normal style of fighting where Margarito continued to engage him from a distance negating Clottey's superior inside fighting ability.

In the 9th round, Margarito had Clottey against the ropes for about 30 seconds and it's unbelievable that Clottey didn't go down from that barrage of punches.

In the 10th, Clottey again came out boxing, obviously uncomfortable.

From then on, it was already Margarito's fight.

What the **** am I missing?

Floyd wasn't in the position to demand fights with anyone. Zoo Was above him in weight and Floyd was moving up. Zoo wasn't targetting Floyd, he wanted Gatti. And wanted a showdown to unify. Floyd went after Gattis title to fight Zoo. Zoo lost to Hatton. Floyd called out Hatton to fight him. Declined.
