Briggs literally made memes making fun of Haye and ambushed him at press conferences. Haye wasn't even in the rankings when all of this was going on, you're acting like he was some sort of top 5 boxer or belt holder in a position way above Briggs and he wasn't. Briggs even fought on his under card and it was the perfect set up for the 2 of them to fight.

There was no reason the fight couldn't happen other than Haye wanting to avoid potentially being embarrassed by an old man who could still punch. That's all there is to it.

One bizarre comment is you talking about Haye ducking an unranked Briggs, pal.

One boxer confronts another, gets the promoter to fight on that boxer's undercard, calls him out, makes memes about him, and the other boxer refuses to fight but that isn't a duck to you?

Making no effort to win and getting your ass kicked takes more heart than doing everything in your power to try to win?

James Smith's resume was equal to 90's Foreman?

The unmotivated Witherspoon who got destroyed in 1 round would knockout prime Moorer?

James Toney beats up George Foreman?

David Haye showed a lot of heart in the Klitschko fight?

Pal, you're the one making bizarre claims every time you post. You will intentionally pick weird hills to die on and then accuse everyone else of being a weirdo or lacking boxing knowledge.

I disagree. I think Haye had more than enough power to get Bruno out of there. Haye was a very big cruiser with speed and Power. Don't forget his demolition of Chisora in 5 rounds. Something that Vitali couldn't manage to do or how he had the HUGE Valuev on ***** street. And one of only two people to ever stop Ruiz, the other being TUA.

Some proper thought in this. I would only say that the body, with Bruno, was a waste of fire power. Frank was an absolute structure and never winced at a body shot. Only one bang in the liver, which his elbow was usually clamped over in that learned and taught fashion, would do damage there.
    Chin or temple with Frank.

Tbf when Briggs was trolling him, Haye was in his umpteenth comeback (Haye 2.0) and fighting garbage like Mark De Mori so a Briggs fight was certainly viable at that point. Haye was doing what he always did in talking a big game like he was a big shot in the heavyweight division when the fact was he’d been irrelevant for years. Briggs was definitely worthy of a Haye match up at that point in Haye’s career. Haye fought a Bellew who was untested at heavyweight instead. Good move lol

Bruno played the lovable loser and with all due respect that's all he ever amounted to just about every time he stepped up to world level. He's too slow to avoid Haye's punches. Haye catches Bruno with a big shot and Bruno stays hit.

The only feelings that are apparent in this thread are yours, as you're the only person who seemingly has to go ad-hominem because you have no response.

Haye did duck Briggs, but for some reason, you don't want to believe so.

Haye, at that point in time, was looking for cash. He ended up duping the public into watching him compete against de Mori and Gjergjaj on the channel Dave. He would have got a lot more viewers if he had taken on Briggs, but he wanted no part of a shot Briggs, for whatever reason. He wanted to play it ultra safe.

A narrative was built up around the time that Haye ran all night to excuse Wlads timid performance and complete inability to even score a drop let alone produce a knockout.
Klitschko had promised to punish Haye for all his talk and excuses had to be made for failing to deliver.

The fact is both men did not show any heart and were timid to engage each other. Wlad knew he was too big and awkward for Haye so used his size to his advantage.
It was Haye who had to push the action and he did multiple times. More so than Klitschko , yes he was in a position where he had to , but the fact is he did try hard plenty of times during the fight to touch Wlads chin.

This is when he was pushed down to the canvas which happened so many times it resulted in Wlad being deducted a point.

If Haye was just purely in survival mode , Wlad wouldn't have jumped on his back so many times.. Watch the clip i posted for example.

The Haye camp had concerns about that referee before the fight. You can clearly see why.

Bruno's been stopped on numerous occasions. I don't think it's out on the realms of possibilities David stops big Frank. I do think he'd more likely beat Haye on the points though, he was a better boxer.

Haye was a lot faster than Bruno and had far better head movement.

Bruno never beat a fighter a good as Haye and Chisora is a bit better and tougher than Bruno wa, he`d gas and get stopped v Haye.
