I'm going with yes, but not flush ones all night.

Tue could go 12 with wilder easy.
Lewis's right can be just as dangerous as wilders but 100 times more educated.
And wilder wouldn't be so keen to open up with big wild shots cause of what would be coming back.

Lewis was cautious and tua didn't push his luck.
Win or lose Wilder would go after tua more even if tua tries not to provoke him like he did with Lewis after a few rounds.

I'm not sure if 6'7 Wilder can actually land his best shots on 5'9 tua. After all wilders best shots aren't uppercuts.he doesn't even throw a great uppercut. His trademark right would have to bethrown at an awkwardly low angle to hit Tuas chin

Depends on what you mean. If Tua had to stand still with his hands down and let Wilder land a flush right on his chin, do I see Tua being hurt by this? Well yes, he'd probably be KO'd, so I voted no. Would Tua staying on his feat in an actual fight with Wilder? Probably yes.

Hell no. Tua had a good, even great chin but other than rahman and ibeabuchi what punishment did he really take in long fights against skilled world level fighters?

His other best opponents were michael moore and john ruiz (who were obliterated before they could land much), chris byrd (who was feather fisted and boxed circles around him) and lennox lewis who was a great puncher but mostly fought tua with a lazy jab and grab style hardly landing any heavy shots in a dull fight. So again, what serious blows did tua manage to shake off and endure that convince people he could just grit his teeth and survive wilders bombs for 12 rounds?

After sampling a couple, Tua opted for survival imo.

I'm not sure to be honest. Tua had an iron chin, but Wilder a lot of times with that wild swinging doesn't even hit guys on the chin, he hits them in the temples, on the side of the head.

Didn't think Wilder landed his best in that one.

Frequent flush shots would be hard work.

I don't buy into the idea that Wilder is like nothing that has ever been before.

Sooner or later everybody comes up against somebody who can take their power.

I see it like this....the man has a one hundred percent knockout ratio against big men. Now, I know his quality of opposition leaves much to be desired.

However, look at a puncher like Shavers who many on this board hail as the hardest puncher of all time. How many iron chinned ATG champions in their prime did he KO?

The majority of most punchers KO's, regardless of weight class, come against lower level opposition. Because the higher up you go up the ladder, the more likely you are to come across men who have the skillset to neutralize your power.

So does Shavers really deserve the high honor of hardest puncher of all time for stopping Ken Norton who was his best KO while Wilder gets regarded as a second string puncher? I have no problem envisioning Wilder replicating that feat.
