Could Devon Alexander become the new Jeff Lacy tonight?

    Alexander has beaten the two best in this weight division outside of "The Big Four" (Bradley, Maidana, Khan, Alexander) and is fighting the #1 tonight. Kotelnik #5, Urango #6 curret Ring Magazine rankings.

    Except he quite clearly did not beat Kotelnik. He was beaten by him, and got a gift decision.

    Beat the #5 and #6 in the division and is facing #1 tonight...I mean in their common opponent Alexander beat him significantly worse, and the kid is an undefeated world champion. I'm not saying he's PBF or Ali but for a 23 year old kid, he's done quite a bit actually.

    Could have been a bad night against kotelnik, devon did look nervous, but he also looked uncoordinated and basically poor, i tend to think better boxers will trouble alexander

    For all we know, Kotelnik could just have been an off-night for Alexander. God knows, one of my all-time favourites James Toney had his off-nights.

    He won the fight, it's not a matter of opinion, he is clearly recognized as the combatant that prevailed in the fight. So why would we "act" like he didn't win, when he did...lol?

    I don't think so, I still believe Alexander will still have more to give after Bradley beats him tonight. :D

    Neither have hit their prime yet from what I can see, Alexander really does need to start adapting in the ring though...I have yet to see him improve that part of his game (from the bouts I've seen him in). And he will undoubtedly need to adapt at some point against Bradley, in my opinion anyway.

    Ok in what would be an alternate delusional reality you could stand by this, but here in reality Alexander won a close decision, and it isn't up for debate...he won, Kotelnik lost, end of story.

    I'm sorry man comparing Kotelnik an Olympic medalist to Sheika is complete bull****. Kotelnik is a good boxer

    Alexander won 300 out of 310 amatuer fights, he aint that ****, IMO he was being over rated after the Urango fight, but now is being under rated after the Kotelnik fight.

    Another point, he accomplished all this and is still 23. He still has alot to do and hasnt hit his peak yet.

    He may lose tonight but I am sure it wont be easy work for Bradley.
