I've always favored Ruiz, because Whyte has a wafer chin, but looking back, if Whyte still has enough, he could pull off a Rivas and win off the jab. He might even have the power to hurt him. How much of a chance do you give Whyte against Ruiz ?
In their primes it would of been competitive. Whyte's jab, body shots and counter left hook keep Ruiz honest but Whyte's poor movement would allow Ruiz to back him up to the ropes and work, much like Chisora did but just like Chisora, Ruiz can't sustain that pressure allowing Whyte to have success on the outside. Yes Whyte's chin isn't great but Ruiz isn't a huge puncher and not that great a finisher either. I could see Whyte winning a tough close fight, where he likely gets dropped at some point but survives to win a split decision, where Ruiz simply doesn't do enough to win. But if they fight now, who knows, Whyte clearly isn't the same fighter who beat Parker, Rivas, Browne and Chisora and Ruiz has been inactive so long we don't know how he'll look on his return, if he returns. Whyte might win just because he's been the more active and Ruiz will be rusty and in bad shape even for him.
Whyte is shyte. Well last it. Gatekeeper at best if he wants to keep going. Feed him to Jared Anderson I guess
Do you remember the dude who was on here defending whyte about a failed sample? This was after he failed previously and has since failed again lol Whyte has no chin and I think a slugfest with Miller would be fine by me However, he will likely be next for Joshua. Eddie has been very careful with the match making, while wilder, Parker, zhang, joyce etc are fighting
You really got problem with Anthony Joshua dont You? Hope You dont wake up in night screaming "AJ"!!!!
We don’t know how Ruiz is gonna look in the ring. The man hasn’t fought in years and binges on drugs and hookers.
