What do you think? Does prime Tyson get to them before the size and clinching takes over? Or do the Klitschko s control him?
Prime Tyson 1986-89 Prime Klitschko's 2006-12 Tyson had explosive hand speed Devastating early combination s Peek-a-boo pressure Brutal early rounds Klitschko's had massive size advantage Long stiff jabs Clinch and reset style, hard to win against. One punch KO power.
I think Wlad controls him with the jab and man-handles him close. Will be difficult for Tyson to get to the midrange and when he does it’s one or two punches and clinch, much like Mike vs Bonecrusher or Tucker or some of the other big guys he fought. Wlad hits hard by all accounts so he takes him out somewhere in the 8-10 range with a pummeling. I like Tyson’s chances better with Vitali, who was stiffer and not as patient. He ends up in a shootout and Mike lands the big punch that leads to an explosive flurry that puts the big man down. Mike is all over him when he gets up and gets the stoppage.
It’s possible. But no matter who wins, Tyson OR either Klitschko they would be hellacious fights. Even though Wlad was more skilled than Vitali, I think Tyson would have a better chance of cracking his chin. But Vitali as mentioned was a big more stationary and less mobile. Very tough fights
Great fights and yes, I think both can beat him. The best version of Wlad simply boxes his head off, possibly stopping an exhausted Mike late. Yhis would be a more brutal, more surgical defeat than the Douglas fight. Vitali fight is closer. A back and forth war in fact and Mike sees the bell but loses a fight that becomes more one sided from the 8th round on. For me, both Klitschkos are criminally underrated and on their best night's are H2H nightmares.
I can visualise Tyson hurting Wlad Very early on, dropping him quickly . Whenever he recovers is another thing.
I like Vitali and always have. And I like him big. Cannot see Tyson landing combos on him. At best a 1 and done. And not many of those. Wlad is a lot more vulnerable. And that gives Mike his early blitz attack a chance. Maybe not a strong chance but one far better than the later rounds when he will not absorb that terrific left hook or that straight right hand missile. But there is a window.
They woudl both have outlasted him. Even if he had beaten them both in his prime, they could have got him in the rematch, based on their longevity.
