Could Emanuel Augustus Been One of the Most successful boxers ever?

maybe if he was roman as his name suggests....

 

IMO he is an ATG if you take away his 30 losses..

That's what hurts his status, other then that, he is in P4P ATG lists.

Emmanuel is an entertaining fighter that hasn't had all the luck in the world. Yes those 30 losses on his record do hurt, but when you fight the way the drunken master does you have to expect to lose quite a few fights. I was there last night at blackton to watch him demolish Jakkirt Suwunnalirt. Whenever I watch emmanuel I need some hip-hop to be playin so I watched the fight with 1 earphone in my ear. Makes his style so much more fun to watch. Anyway, congratulation to Emmanuel for his oriental title. GL to him in the future as well, never ceases to entertain. :good

 

I wouldn't say one of the most successful ever, but world level certainly.

A lot of those 30 losses are legit. Augustus does just enough to lose more often than not.

He's got skills, but he's nowhere near elite talent wise, he can fight up to a B- level when he wants, but most of the time he's C... just because he's schooled some prospects in the past doesn't speak as much about him as it does the prospects.

 

Umm did you see his fight with Mayweather back in the day? He defo has skills. Gave Mayweather a tough fight back then, to the point that Mayweather said that it was one of his toughest fights. Emanuel busted Floyd's lip up, got through his defense at times.

 

Him and Ward on I think FNF was a great fight. He had some skills, but almost too big of balls to use those skills and just slugged it out instead. He might not have been great but was always entertaining and I always enjoyed watching him fight

How did the crowd take to his antics?

 

Alot thought he was showboating. Most near me were informed that this is just the way he fights and to accept it and go with the flow. Besides he didn't do as much of it as in previouse fights due to the length of the fight. My missus like it as I had warned her about it earlier and gave her the other earphone to my mp3 and she was laughin her ass off at his dancin antics and how well it wen to the music.
