I'm not sure he was. I'd favor him over Wlad for for, but not as much as some other atg's

Holyfield is greater than Wladimir at two different weights, including Wlad's weight. But that doesn't mean he would beat Wlad. Though he would beat all the versions of Wlad. All versions of Holyfield beat all versions of Wlad but that doesn't mean he's greater. Although, as I said, he is greater, and at two different weights. The Romney version of Holyfield beats the Chagaev version of Wlad. Then he takes a steaming greatness on Vitali. In the face. With aid of a ladder.

    Evan Fields, yes.

    Evander Holyfield...no.

Let's be real, here. The real fighter, the guy who went life and death with Qawi, would not be a physical match for Wlad.

I agree, I would favor a number of atg’s to beat Wlad. It’s just Evander’s strengths, unnatural recuperative abilities, atg heart, and great counterpuncher, all play to Wlad’s weaknesses.

I fancy Wlad who was bigger, more technical and hit harder. That said a good Holyfield could beat a bad Wlad. The whole Brewster / Purritty triangle theory business doesn't make sense to me. Those two beat Wlad with their chins, soaking up an incredible shellacking before Wlad's engine overheated and blew all its gaskets. While Holyfield is certainly tough, he's not going to take that sort of pounding and remain in the fight. I'd fancy Holy over an end of the road Wlad or early Wlad to do the job through his skills and gameness. Prime Wlad ... nah I don't think Holy beats him.

Holyfield beats the younger version of Wlad that didn't know what to do under pressure and got knocked out three times. He also beats the version that fought, Jennings, Fury and Joshua. But he struggles against the Wlad that beat Chagaev, Chambers, Haye etc. That Wlad was under the guidance of Emmanuel Steward and was faster and had good reflexes. Evander is shorter so Wlad would put his weight on him, wear him out and possibly stop him late. But Holyfield has his chances in this fight too.

A past it Holyfield went 24 rounds with a prime Lewis and gave him a very competitive fight in their 2nd meeting so yes he could.

The corrie sanders version yes. Otherwise Wlad brains him with the left. Holy too easy to hit and Wlads jab was ace.

Would likely go same as Lewis fights with Holyfield struggling to get inside and lots of clinches. Klitchsko would be happy to bank the rounds like Lewis.

Evander Holyfield was juiced to the gills, or have you never heard of "Evan Fields"?

Wlad jabs his way to a UD against the juicer.
