He absolutely could, but that doesn't mean he would.

Prime vs prime, Holy ran hot and cold whereas Wlad was consistent and methodical. But on his better/best days, Holyfield might prove too determined and resourceful.

In terms of their overlapping points, I'd tend to favor Holyfield through 2000 and Wlad after 2004. But that period in between, that's where I think it potentially becomes the most interesting, but I'd tend to favor Wlad during that stretch as Holyfield's stamina just wasn't there.

Of course he could beat Wlad. Ali, Foreman (70s), Iron Mike and Lewis worry me for EH.

The Evander's that beat Buster Douglas, Tyson, Moorer rematch, Foreman etc.... would beat any version of Wlad pre-Byrd II. He'd have a lot more trouble with the finished product Wlad though

Prime vs prime and at their best… Wlad either wins a comfortable UD or stops Holyfield. The Wlad that was with Steward from around 2006-2012… THAT Wlad was arguably the most dominant HW champ in history. Hardly lost a round during that stretch.
