Peralta had a record of 77-5-8 and was rated number 10.

    Lowry had a record of
    How about these facts?

    Rocky's 1st 32 fights
Opponents had 356 wins, 316 losses.

    Foreman's 1st 32 fights
    Opponents had 651 wins,372 losses.
How about Foreman fighting the 10 rated heavyweight in his 16th fight?

Foreman was 39 years old, 8 fights into a comeback after nearly 10 years of retirement.
How about we bring Rocky back after 10 years and match him with Qawi?

Of the less than 7 rounds Qawi lasted, how many rounds did he win?
Did Qawi ever have Foreman in trouble? Did anyone think he was robbed?

Yes you already quoted those stats but rather than accept there are comparable elements to Foremans career (even though Foreman is widely believed to have fought in a superior era) you want to persevere with the line that Rocky fought worse set ups and less contenders before challenging for a title, even though it is not at all factual to claim so.

After already beating George Chuvalo, Foreman fought some strange opposition even though he was by then both a gold medalist and rated very highly.
3-25 Clarance Boone was fight 33.
With a record of 4-15 Terry Sorrell was fight 37.
1-14-1Joe Murphy Goodwin was fight 32,
Vic Scott was fight 29 and was 1-2.

It goes to show even in the 1970s top rated contenders could tip toe through the tulips.

You really like to cherry pick. Marciano started out late and had a slow upbringing. He was learning the game and adjusting his style till he retired. I brought up that Foremans record was a goid point because no one would bring up something like that for him. Only Marcianos record is scrutinized to such an extent. When every fighter not named Ali or Louis has similar stretches or circumstances on their record (except today’s modern guys who don’t take any risks and all look like their undefeated but don’t really fight anyone). Marcianos total competition isn’t the strongest ever but he is top heavy with some solid fighters and bottom filled w C/D fighters. That doesn’t take away from what he was capable of.

You want to pretend Marciano fighting career journeyman with a50/50 record Ted Lowry and getting rocked and winning a decision many disagreed with is comparable to Foreman fighting 10th ranked Gregorio Peralta 77-5-8 in his 16th fight.GTF!!! Want to mention Qawi again?LOL

Marciano critic: Marciano's 49-0 means nothing. The ratings of his opponents mean nothing.

Also Marciano critic: Peralta had a record of 77-5-8..he was rated #10 for godsakes...#10!

All I've done is rebutted Choc's cherry picking and now you don't like it!TOUGH!
Mentioning Qawi's fight with a 39 years old Foreman in the beginning of a come back after nearly10 years isnt Cherry picking?GTF!

Unfortunately you did not succeed because I demonstrated that Marcianos pre championship record is no worse than George Foreman. In many ways Marciano beat more name fighters before becoming champion. And this is all true.
