He could have done everything Douglas did skill and talent wise, he just lacked the size of Douglas. But could a 49-51 Charles have pulled it off?

This is crazy talk! Ezz (he prefers to be called Ez, by the way), died in 75....so how in the world is he supposed to pull this off in 1990? Ridiculous premise

I love Ezz but I see a painful loss, Charles to brave for his own sake here.

I thought he was talking about his clone? That's the only logical way this thread can go.

Besides, no way Charles could do it. He was black and white. We all know boxing skills evolved when they developed colour pigmentation with Higher Definition qualities, circa 1965.

    Ezz?

No. It's Ez. That must be made perfectly clear. One Z.

But at his best? Maybe, I wouldn't put money on it

I dunno if he'd stop Tyson (he had a similar counter punching ability to Holyfield but was more passive and didn't hit as hard) but he'd certainly beat the Douglas version of Tyson. Probably by UD

1990 Mike Tyson takes this one over Ezzard Charles, who does well for a few rounds, with his counters, but the Tyson's punches take effect on Charles, negating anything that he does. Tyson lays out Ezzard for the full 10, in round 5, with a thundering left right to the head.
