I really think Vargas had the tools to beat Tito. It's sad he insisted on fighting Tito head on.

He could've beat him head up if Tito didn't hit him with so many low blows. He had tito on the ropes in the 4th rd and Trinidad bailed himself out with a vicious low blow

Nah, Vargas would always lose to Trinidad.

It's called Trinidad was too powerful for any Mexican in history.

That fight was so easy for Tito that he almost knocked out Vargas in the first round but wanted to put on a show for the fans and showcase the power of the island.

    What a guy.

You seem upset why is that?

The man was simply a legend. Wouldn't expect a fangirl with a name like that to understand though.

    :)

No, Fernando was a bull, he fought strong and wanted to impose his strength. He'd never beat Tito, just a bad style.

I think he could have won the fight, had he not been low blowed by bricks. We'll never know.

When Vargas left that first jab hanging and got nailed with that hook he ran out of options. It took him several rounds to recover.
He couldn't outbox Tito anyway. Trinidad was a better boxer. And is not in his nature for Vargas to start boxing in the middle of a fight.

Did he have the skill to do so? Sure. He just didnt have the discipline. Once Vargas gets tagged he wants to make it a street fight. That never goes well with a tight, powerful puncher like Trinidad.

Vargas would had beaten Tito even toe to toe if Tito didn't have his extra wrap and low blows, Cheato Trinidada was garbage without his cast hands.

Most likely. Vargas was outboxing him after he was badly hurt and still managed to drop Tito. Then Tito started landing shots south of the border and rest is history.

Mighty Tito got outboxed by ***y legs and made to look like the puerto rican was on his menstrual cycle. His trunks were bloodied and was schooled by Oscar. Even hit Oscar after the bell rang, Oscar didn't even flinch. Oh yea thats alot of power, haha stfu

This is one of my favourite fights of all time. Trinidad beats Vargas every time IMO.

    Mexicans are full of excuses.
Tito was more skilled and talented. He dominated the beginning and the end of the fat.
