Or top 15? No Pacweathering. I just miss the Pretty Boy who was maybe the best 130 pounder ever, watching his highlights makes me full of regret as to what he could have done if he was more ambitious with his matchmaking at 135+.

I say yes to top 10. He is incredibly diverse both offensively and defensively. Great reflexes, movement, and guard. He has a good jab and every punch he can throw with power and speed. A great all-around fighter who can recover when he gets caught.

What a waste, his ceiling hasn't been reached, but he's old now and only getting older. We will look back on a fighter with incredible potential who couldn't make the most of it because of out-of-ring deficiencies.

His resume now is great, but it is a shell of what he could have accomplished.

The names weren't really there in any case...He came up to 147/154 when it was in a bit of a transition period after the strong late 90's era.

Johnston in 99-2000 at lightweight..Tszyu at 140..Cotto and/or Margarito at 147..Mosley closer to prime. All would have been good but not enough to send him up into the lofty heights of the 10 greatest fighters of alltime.

A decisive win over Manny brings him up significantly...but not that much. Maybe top 20-25'ish.

i dont know where he would have ranked.

But i do think he could beat alot of fighters who would have improved his resume.

skills ways he is already an ATG top 10

but as far as record :fire

should fought freitas & casmayor when both were prime and in around his weight class.

he should have fought margarito & cotto.

and he definitly should fight pacquiao!!!

    so, there you have it.

Would of been top 20 if he fought all the big names instead of just looking for money fights.

That Casa fight would have been good I would to see Floyd vs that counter left that Casa had

I feel Floyd is stylistic h2h nightmare for anybody 130-147 all time but his resume is not enough to warrant a high ATG rank

Biggest regret is that I wont be able to brag to my grand kids how privileged I was to of witnessed a fighter like Mayweather in his prime.

Mayweather will always be a great fighter, but thats the thing, its actually a compliment to say he underachieved, cause he had THAT much talent that he could of done so much more.

Least I was able to appreciate MJ at his best during the late 80's :thumbsup

If he had the likes of Mosley at 135, Tszyu and Hatton at 140, Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams and Pac at 147, definately could've had the status Pac is now enjoying as a future sure-fire top 10 ATG.

I really, really don't see Pac getting to the 10 spot all time, especially with **** like this Mosley fight.

Hard to say top 10 skillwise when you have a Wilfred Benitez who had arguably equal defense and better offense and better resume. Floyd is so smart in the ring though. Thats why its so hard to argue top 10 based on skills.

I'd say Floyd had much better defense than Benitez. Don't get me wrong, Benitez had wonderful defense, but Floyd's is masterful! He makes fantastic fighters look like club fighters. Not to say that Benitez wouldn't have defeated guys like Corrales and Mosley, but the way Floyd did it was flawless! I think Floyd trumps Benitez defensively.

Hard to say, they didnt call Wilfred Radar for nothing, his defense was impeccable just look at some tapes. His problem is he had to face guys like Leonard, Heans and Duran in their primes. Those guys would find a way to hit you no matter what.

Floyd may be the most technically skilled boxer of all time...with the exception of maybe willie pep...Floyd still can be top 10 all time but he has to fight & beat pac, cotto, martinez, khan, etc...he could probably beat all of them if he started now...but i doubt he will...he will only fight a two or three more times before he retires forever...Floyd always talks about how he will retire from the sport, he wont let it retire him...not to mention the guy is 33 years old...he needs to start now

i agree but fights are won in the ring and not on paper. far too often floyd's (and others) resumes are based on fighters they surely would have beaten. if this was the case in the past, pep would have surely beat saddler, tyson would have destroyed douglas so no use fighting him and ali would have been too fast for frazier. top fighters beat top fighters, that's all time. floyd is a top fighter who beat fighters JUST a step away from being a real threat
