Could Floyd Mayweather's huge neck be the reason for his granite chin?

He did hold vs Mosely, but he never went down. The fact he wasn't knocked out, or even knocked down is astonishing to me. How many other guys stand up to that punch? Mosely caught him as clean as could be, with full power, and Mosely is one of the hardest punchers of his era. I mean Mosely knocked out the iron chinned Margarito, a guy who walked through Cottos shots and laughed, wasn't phased in two fights by haymakers from Cintron either, a VERY hard puncher. Mosely then knocks him out, his fists had dynamite. Mayweather being able to stay on his feet is amazing, most welterweights are on the canvas knocked out cold, Pacquiao style in his fourth fight with Marquez. Remember Mosely caught him AGAIN on the temple while he was still stunned, Mayweather still stood up to it. He then went on to dominate the rest of the round.... how many guys do that?

Corley did hurt him, but not too bad. Floyd didn't have to hold on, he fought through it. He was brawling that fight, and got caught with silly **** he usually wouldn't. He proved his chin that fight.

Judah didn't knock him down, period. Officially it wasn't a knockdown, it wasn't unofficially either. Their feet were getting tangled all throughout the beginning, which happens in Orthodox vs Southpaw matches. Floyd came in, got tangled up, and was BARELY glanced by a punch. The punch didn't connect at all, just pushed him over as he was already tripping. It wasn't a knockdown, you know that. If you're trying to use some technicality to score it a knockdown, that's just silly.

If you count him shattering his hand, and putting it down to the map to recoup his faculties, as he was in horrible pain... you're just hating at that point, that's grasping at straws dude.

To the last part, MVC was just being a troll. We both know Floyd has no business in there with Sergey. The weight difference is too enormous, Sergey puts his lights out if he connects with anything good, no doubt. Don't for one minute think I believe Floyd could go in there and beat Sergey, absolutely not. MVC was just trolling, he doesn't believe that **** either, he wants to stir up *******s. I am a Mayweather fan, but I'm certainly no *****. I don't think he is the greatest fighter ever or anything, and I am critical of him in the fact he hasn't fought people he should have. However, he has a great chin, he has proven his chin in my book.

Floyd looks rocked after every shot he takes there? Granted they are all big shots but he is visibly hurt.

    Average chin, ATG defense.

Any time a fighter gets caught clean, on the bell, it will put them off their game for a second. He takes many hard punches to the chin without being seriously hurt in that video, he was only rocked a small number of times, remember those are the hardest punches ever landed on the guy. There are multiple examples of him taking huge shots, and still dodging the other oncoming shots, clearly he wasn't stunned if he is instantaneously dodging other shots after he takes a good whack on the mandible.

He has never been legitimately down, and although he doesn't take as many bombs as other fighters, he has certainly been tested, and passed. His chin is very solid, it grades out high.

I will concede it's usually not single punches that knock guys out, I'm not trying to bull**** here. Single punch knockouts, where one clean shot knocks a guy out are the minority by far, there is no denying that. Mayweather is not someone who is going to get caught with a combination of power shots, he very rarely gets caught clean, and doesn't ever get a large accumulation of punishment. Certainly this all works in his favor, you're going to be able to take a bomb to the chin much better if you are seldom getting hit; punches accumulate, this is true. So yeah, he doesn't have the greatest chin ever or anything, but his chin sure does deserve a very good grade, and is definitely no liability. He doesn't have to worry about a sustained assault, and taking a ton of punishment. However if he winds up getting caught with a bomb here or there, he has proven he is very capable of standing up to it.
