And I mean for a 10 count. Don't laugh, prime Holmes and prime Berbick couldn't do it. However, despite being smaller, I'd say he hits harder than Holmes and Berbick and he's certainly faster and more skilled than Berbick. He's also a little faster than Holmes as well.

What's with all the Floyd Patterson threads lately?

No, he couldn't KO Ali in 1981 or in 2024.

Prime Floyd? Ali had too good a chin even damaged … Holmes pounded on him for 10 rounds and couldn’t put him down … prime Floyd would win an easy decision, maybe pitch a shutout, but wouldn’t knock him out.

And Ali totally obliterated Floyd. Twice. Patterson was levels below Ali, who literally toyed with him.

The corpse of Ali kos Patterson, the very good boxer.

See my comment above. If getting crushed by Ali TWICE makes Floyd "elite", what does that make Ali...God?

Look at the people Floyd lost to, and the people Floyd beat. No trash beat him, and he beat some pretty elite fighters, and should have beaten a couple more if not for bad judging.

I think Ali was the GOAT.

And I think Patterson was No. 25 all time.

And absolutely prime Patterson easily defeats the shell that Ali was in 1981 … I don’t think he would touch Floyd at that point, let alone hurt him … but he would not knock him out, that’s an impossibility for him.

Prime Patterson would have hit 1981 Ali a lot and while Floyd was not particularly heavy handed, he did have 40 career knockouts. Ali was .... well .... Ali. He was never knocked out and while I see Patterson winning by a referee stoppage I can't see Ali taking a 10 count.

Patterson stops him, but probably doesn't put him down for the count.
