I know there are bigger names and matches out there at higher weights but if he wanted to take on Bradley, Khan, etc. could he still make the weight or would they have to come up?

  2. He couldn't even make 144 to fight a featherweight.

Yet was at 146 for this fight, didn't have dehydrated lips unlike Mosley and looked in top shape at the weigh in?

Being that the guy doesn't seem to dehydrate himself to make 146 and looked about 150 on fight night, I think if he wanted to, he could make 140 with ease. I just don't seem him bothering to do it.

No, The lowest I can see him boiling is 145. Anything below that and he is starving himself like an Ethiopian orphan.

The whole "He COULDN'T make 144" argument is pretty stupid in my view.

I think he didn't want to make 144, he was worried about Marquez due to how gifted a boxer Marquez was. You didn't see him **** talk Marquez as much as he did other fights and I think he seriously believed Marquez was a great fighter.

Funny though, he not only beats, but practically shuts out two P4P Top 3 guys in his last two fights and people still say he's not doing anything impressive

A few years ago maybe, but now anymore, no.

He is a true 147 pounder.

Right on both counts. Ya'know I don't really see a lot of you here on ESB but when I do see you you're usually saying something that makes sense and these posts are no exception.

I wouldn't want to see him at 140. It's clear in my eyes that this is his optimal weight.

In fact, I think he looks better at 147 than he has at any other weight class.

I think it's safe to put him in discussion with how he would perform against SRL, Hearns, and SRR.

He's a big and strong welter and he has excellent skills. It seems like his power is better than ever as well.

why would he want to? the 140 dudes should move up if they want that money. Floyd at this point of the career doesn't need to chase anyone.

except for his 140 lbs thrashing of Arturo Gatti. But yeah at this point, he is a welterweight, through and through.

Even if he could make 140, there is no way in hell he would bother.

If he made Hatton come up to 147 all those years ago, he certainly would do the same now for Bradley or Alexander.
