It's not about effectiveness or output, it's about certain manner of fighting.

Pryor had speed of his own and threw alot of punches from awkward angles I think Mayweather could win but he would have to fight Pryor off him early and he is going to take some punches. Impossible to slip that many punches from Pryor even with that great defense.

Definitely no Mayweather domination. No slow pace, picking his shots against slower fighters.

    Floyd by close decision.

Big difference between Pryor and Duran or Armstrong would be body shots. The Hawk was a headhunter often with his chin in the air. Homicide and El Cholo kept lower, and went after that body.

Not betting the rent on it, but I think Floyd could make him miss enough to pull of a decision. [So could a younger Arguello before he lapsed from slip and counter to getting hit and countering.]

I've always thought that Locche would have driven Pryor up a wall with frustration, and so did most scribes after both Arguello I and II.

I'd like to think Aaron would run him out of the ring but just not sure ... A prime Pryor would be the best Floyd ever faced by far but I can see Floyd pot shoting him to death ... just not sure on this one ... Aaron bigger and harder hitting than Paq at 140 ... not as fast but almost as fast ... harder to figure his style for sure ...

    Tough fight to pick ...

I think so, too! Pryor would present problems like no other, that's for sure.

Not sure. I think he'd have problems with Pryor's workrate.

Floyd too scared to fight Pryor. Gutless. Pointless thread unfortunately. Pryor gets to Floyd at some stage.

Mayweather has rarely seen hand speed or an offensive firestorm like Pryor's, but how often did Pryor run into someone as quick on the read and difficult to hit as Mayweather?

...and it's not like countering opportunities wouldn't be there for pot shots to score effectively.

Then isn't it a good thing that boxing is much more than just standing in front of someone. Think about it...it would get boring quick. I don't like Floyd, and like Aaron a lot....but Floyd would seriously outclass him.

Floyd vs Hatton gives clues to this. Floyd was uncomfortable, but shot hard right hands down the pipe until Hatton slowed down.

Pryor is better at everything but footspeed in comparison to Hatton. Even in illegal tactics he is superior.

In the end, I think Floyds conditioning holds up. Hard-fought UD.
