The only problem I have with pre-1991 George is watching how he had so much trouble with lil old Dwight Qawi.

Qawi got away with all KINDS of right hands he shouldn't have, and lasted WAY longer than he should have against George.

I can see post-Holy George stopping the post-prison Mike, two rounds probably. But in 1990 I don't think George was quite there yet. Very, very close though.

I don't think Tyson would have stopped him at this stage in his career, but I can see both men hitting the canvas at least once apiece. I can't see farther than that though. Not sure what the end result would be, I just know Mike was getting jaded and George was at the time making some rookie mistakes he shouldn't have. He didn't start tightening up until Coetzer imo.

Rather than choosing a vote I’ll simply answer the question which was “ could Foreman have pulled off the upset in Tokyo?” My answer is yes he “ could have.” Am I confident enough on the matter to definitively pick either man ? No

Foreman may have been able to outlast him if he got thru the early going. Difficult match to imagine in some ways.

Foreman wishes he could box like Buster did in Tokyo. Now, if you take the unprepared Tyson who showed up against Douglas that night, mmmmmmm.....I still don't think Foreman wins. Of course, Tyson would take Foreman more seriously.

    Foreman never beats Tyson. NEVER.

Tyson wouldnt handle being forced backwards well. Foreman claims the center of the ring. Mike doesn't have the forward momentum he is used to. George frustrates him by smothering him and leaning on him.
George takes over by the 5th and starts to land his jab.
Foreman methodically chops Mike down and wins a decision or late stoppage.

It is not even funny this false history of Foreman having problems with qawi, it is a total joke, Foreman played with him like a tittle toy and he did not take qawi even seriously it is why he landed some shots on george that he took like nothing. Foreman dominated qawi stop this Nonsense that is not truth at all

Lol nice joke. Actually Foreman beats Tyson in a bad Night, styles make fights, even when Tyson was asked about fantasy matches between himself and legends when was asked about Louis Tyson said (fast and sure) that he would beat Louis, when was asked about Foreman he said ."that might be close". Said enough

I'm not confident whether that's true, but if you watch footage of the fight with good audio, at one point you can clearly hear Foreman say in the clinch, "Don't get hurt now -ya hear?".

I did not understand it. You meant that Foreman was talking to qawi?

Yeah. I interpreted it kind of as a friendly taunt, if that makes sense.
