Could Frank Bruno have held on to the WBC title if he hadn't faced Tyson?

Bruno had nowhere near the fundamentals Usyk has, Chisora kept stopping Usyk moving to the right by holding him with his left arm, when the ref warned him in the 6th Usyk took over.

Chisora was holding and hitting for 6 rounds then Usyk took over.

Holyfield got knocked out by Bowe in 1995. And Holyfield was training for Czyz when Bruno defended against Tyson. Holyfield didn't look great against Czyz either.

Evander probably wins. But Bruno defending against Evander would've been a fun fight. What was there not to like in that matchup? Probably would've slugged it out like Bruno-Lewis. That was fun, too.

It wasn’t entirely convincing though, and Bruno was better than Chisora.

Holy was a better counter puncher than Bruno and had a better chin and gas tank, he was a far better inside fighter, he beat Tyson who destroyed Bruno with ease in 1996.

Chisora is tougher than Bruno was and more aggressive, Bruno would be throwing jabs that`s not the way to beat Usyk.

I'm not so sure he is tougher than Bruno.
No one sparked Bruno with one punch and he was in there with some big hitters.
So it would be best not to jab?

Best chance Bruno would have to land the jab was from a southpaw stance, Chisora couldn`t land any jabs until he turned southpaw and caught Usyk by surprise, Bruno was out on his feet v Jumbo Cummings and had a bad gas tank.

I don’t know about Lewis mate, I think he gets wiped out easier in a rematch

You didn’t need to spark frank, once hurt he was lost, 9/10 he’ll be on his feet getting stopped by a ref intervention

Mark, one guy can be a favorite and it could still be a good fight.

I think Holyfield would beat Bruno, too. I'd still liked to have watched it. They both delivered exciting fights.

Like in the 1st few seconds against Tyson when he was decked then fought back to hurt Tyson?
There is a little bit of cliched stuff about Bruno which isn’t entirely true.

What about Cummings, spoon, Smith, Lewis and the Tyson rematch?

He took big shots all the through.
He didn’t just fold the first time he was tagged, like has been said, he tended to gas, but all those fights he lost bar the second Tyson fight were competitive.
