Could Frazier defeat Foreman, ever?

Was just watching the fight between Frazier & Foreman again, what strategy would Frazier have to employ to defeat Foreman? He wasn't as agile or as quick on his feet compared to Ali so I doubt rope-a-dope tactics would be feasible for Frazier. Thoughts?

For starters, he could come into the ring without the roll of fat...

This may amaze some people but I believe he could.

The Foreman that fought those five men was deplorable. A forewarned Frazier from 71 practicing some smart defense, would probably mow down this out of shape pretender late.

Maybe if he was alowed to use a two by four or a baseball bat. Other than that there's no way that it could happen.

No. Foreman is just a stylistic brick wall as far as Frazier is concerned: someone just too strong to back up with wrecking balls for fists. Frazier gets stopped at some point pretty much every time.

Sure. But it would never be my pick based upon what we've seen.

Foreman's style is a nightmare for Frazier but he would have beaten the Foreman who fought 5 fights in a single night and had just finished the fifth fight! :D

Yes he could. Frazier gave the best HW performance ever in FOTC and against Foreman it wasn't the same fighter and I don't only mean that by watching Frazier's shaved head

Frazier against Ali was dynamic and in perpetual motion. Against Foreman Frazier was doing his old moves but in much slower fashion. Some say that Frazier was slow starter, but honestly I don't think that he is such a big sleeper. He gets stronger round by round but that doesn't mean that he just stands and waits for the punch in the first rounds

    Frazier's weight against:

    Ali I 205,5
    Foreman I 214
    Foreman II 224,5

Maybe if they'd fought in 1971,when Frazier was at his peak and George was still a bit raw. On a prime for prime basis,Foreman would always win. Nightmare style for Frazier.
