Could Frazier have done better against Foreman with better gameplan?

Foreman was the best fighter to ever go up against the shorter bob n weave styled brawler. He never lost to one. Ever.

The reason I like the sweet science is watching the diffusing of a monster aggressor like a Frazier or a Tyson.
George didn't box, he pummeled and because of his size Joe could not have beaten him with that style. That was a good reason for Don King to never make a Foreman Tyson fight.

Fighters like ********** and sweetpea are why boxing is the toughest sport in the world. The Fraziers and tysons and triple gs of this world are the challenges for the boxers to overcome!

this fight was made as much as tyson vs ali. So no thanks i dont want it once and again and again and again.its very
Boring. Stylistically liston would not haVe any advantage for the next reasons.
1-foreman was bigger, physically stronger, heavier, he got a better chin, he proved having much more heart and he was tougher mentally.
2-he won a fight after he got dropped twice in a brutal fight(liston never did).ron lyle hits as hard as liston if not harder, lyle destroyed some rival in common with liston much faster than sonny.lyle was also heavier and taller than liston , ripped muscular like hell with huge back, and this one was not the prime version of foreman ,still he won by ko.
3- liston never faced a puncher in the league of foreman,( please dont make me laugh mentioning cleveland williams),much less as durable and as strong.
4- liston was not the definition of the type of fighter that troubled foreman, it was more the super durable movers mentally and physically like ali or young, liston was neither.liston had a good jab but foreman had a good heavy one also and a great chin.liston fought in an older era with smaller guys, he never tested
An animal like foreman(having sparring wars with a 18 years old kid foreman dont say great things about sonny), however george during his carrer faced bigger guys than liston ,as strong, heavier who did hit as hard and george took their shots .
5-intimidation factor, not even in a million of years foreman would be intimidated by liston.
6- the fight... Liston cant run and he is not fast enough for george(ALI SAID AFTER OF THE FIGHT WITH FOREMAN THAT HE DID NOT KNOW THAT HE WAS THAT FAST, HIS SPEED IS CLEARLY UNDERRATED)and foreman did cut the ring pretty well, liston never did.so george will force the toe to toe fight where the bigger more powerfull guy with the better chin and tougher mind will win. And BINGO ITS FOREMAN

not that Frazier but the Frazier of FOTC would be a much better, fitter specimen and be able to get on the offensive quicker and put George in some trouble and damage. The Frazier that fought Foreman was down-sliding and I think he hardly landed anything telling

Oh come on. It's not like he barely lost. 7 KDs in 2 rounds! Even Willard survived 4 rounds with no neutral corner rule.

Could he do better? If being better is lasting longer then possibly.

I would pick Foreman over Liston but to greatly underrate Sonnys chances of winning is a mistake. Liston punched very straight with his right, had that great jab and had killer power.

Liston had bigger biceps, ( If I'm correct, the biggest in boxing history along with vitali) longer reach, better chin, bigger neck. Liston also had a better chin because of his neck. Liston fought 8 rounds with a broken jaw. Do you think Foreman had the chin or the heart to do that?
Based on what, the fact that Foreman quit every time he had a loss (in his first career)?
Because their was only one fight Liston ever went down, (don't mention the Ali bull****.
Please, stop it's excruciating. :tired
    Liston was physically stronger.
If you say Lyle hit harder than Liston, Cleveland Williams "hit just as hard, if not harder" than Foreman.
    Did you not
Um no, he actually said plenty of things about Sonny, including Liston hit very hard, Liston would always school Foreman. No matter what he tried, it was Foreman who would always have to resort to boxing.
Foreman never faced anyone who hit NEARLY as hard as Liston. :deal Sorry, if you can't handle it.
But he already was intimidated by Liston, when they'd spar. Are you gonna put words in his mouth now? He was intimidated, by Frazier who wasn't nearly as intimidating as Liston.
    6-
I agree, but he's not faster than Liston. Liston's speed was also underrated. Liston wasn't exactly a speed demon, but Foreman and Liston are not even in the same category. Liston wouldn't need to run.
Liston did know how to cut the ring. It's a myth that he couldn't. How certain are you that George would be able to turn it into a brawl? Even if he did, Liston would still win. Contrary to what you say, Liston hit harder, was physically stronger (at least his biceps), stronger, better stamina. He even had a better chin and more heart, imo. Also you still didn't answer my question, did Foreman drop S**** Iron Johnson like Liston did? :think
