Wlad didn't look very sharp against AJ.
His left hook was in slow motion and he couldn't finish Joshua even when he was out on his feet.

You spent half a post telling me the following:

    Wlad was severely declined.

    Wlad was only 50%

    Wlad had no stamina.

    Wlad was shot against Pulev.

    Wlad was shot against Jennings.

    Wlad was shot against Fury.

Yet you’ve now convinced yourself that he’d definitely have beaten Fury in the rematch.

    Ha!

    You’re all over the place.

Would and could are different things.

Of course he COULD have done.

Fury isn’t a puncher, but Fury upset his rhythm by feinting him.

Wlad never saw anybody with Fury’s style, speed and confidence.

    Wlad has always been cautious.

He would have been cautious against Fury whatever his age.

He signed a rematch, agreed to it, and then dropped out. Simple.

He looked sharp for periods in the fight. Especially in comparison to the Fury fight and due to him being inactive for nearly 2 years.

    He could have finished Joshua.

Vitali told him the wrong advice when Joshua was vulnerable and there for the taking.

Vitali admitted this after the fight.

He looked good when he let his hands go. And if he’d have stopped him, everybody would have said that it was a great performance. And that realistically could have happened.

    Get real.

Again, the man had a mental breakdown, almost killed himself and had 3 years away from the sport.

    That isn’t simply dropping out.

Having a breakdown is not simply reneging on a contract.

He didn’t suddenly just change his mind did he.

If you don’t want to debate, then that’s fine. But don’t come with that BS.

Yeah, it was a duck alright. Fury was still talking shyte at the pressers while inside he was quaking.

    Yeah.

    Of course he was.

He was quaking at fighting a guy in Manchester, who he’d already beaten in Germany.

    He was terrified.

Yet here we are, 6 years later, and he’s about to fight Anthony Joshua.

    That’s completely logical isn’t it.

    That makes perfect sense.

Correct. If he wanted to make the fight he would have.

Yeah, if only he could have found some tablets in his kitchen cupboard to have stopped his breakdown.

    Then we’d have seen it.

If only Paris had added them to the shopping list.

One of the many great ‘what if?’ moments in the sport.

    It was such a shame.

Because he didn't know for certain Fury was pillowfisted until Fury tried go get offensive in round 12. When Fury tried to go for the knockout his punches didnt hurt Wlad and Wlad started letting his hands go in the second part of round 12, troubling Fury

    Come on now.

    It was Tyson’s 25th fight.

Most of his knockouts had come from accumulative TKOs.

Wlad knew that he wasn’t a huge puncher.

Manny had him in Wlad’s camp.

Uh, Fury, Sanders and Joshua beat them. The rest prove my point as they are fringe contender types. Maybe Thompson and Pulev are legit if unspectacular.

You legitimately truncated the statement so that the key part is missing, as if I and anyone following along wouldn't notice. Good job.

Yes true but Wlad tried to stay on the outside because he didn't know for certain how hard Fury punched. thats his usual style and thats the reason Fury easily outboxed him. But when Fury did try to attack Wlad in round 12 his punches didn't have any power. Wlad most likely realized this and thought "i could probably fight this guy on the inside" and thats what he did, he took the fight to Fury and started landing multiple right straights and left hooks and started to turn the tide of the fight but by then it was already over

Wladimir acknowledged this as he claimed he saw something in round 12, perhaps a weakness of some sort and said to Furys face that he wouldn't make the same mistake from the first fight and he would let his hands go and take a lot more risks. Im not sure if Wlad would have beaten him in the rematch but based on that im not so sure Fury would have had his way again.
