Could GGG flush out Mayweather by picking up a 154lb belt next?

    If Mayweather gets to 49-0 and gets panned by the critics for a soft opponent

    At the same time GGG beats someone like Lara or Andrade and picks up a belt.

    Mayweather would want to go 50-0 and draw the curtains on his career in a blockbuster which gets more PPV buys than May 2014 GGG would be the only choice

    no!! there is no need for ggg or mayweather to ever share the same ring. mayweather started at super feather and can do welter easy and ggg is a big middle that has flirted about moving to super middle and is a murderous box fighter!!

    Hopefully.

    @ boxingcrazy - People like you are what's wrong with the sport.

    If you COMPETE at a weight, then you shouldn't be given any special treatment when it comes to your opponents regardless of what divisions you have competed in prior.

    Going by ESPN and some other rumors, GGG-Lemiuex (or however it's bloody spelled) looks more likely now potentially for around October time. So they may well have a tune-up each in August or something

    That'll be a great s**** for how short it will last.

    Lemieux was the Golovkin before Golovkin, so if anyone can chin Gennady it'll be Lemieux.

    That said. Gennady with 3-6. This won't last long.

    He hits hard no doubt but Golovkin won't just stand and slug like he did with Monroe. Suspect it'll more the approach he took to Stevens.

    Either way, yeah I agree with you. 6 rounds tops
