What !!! When Marvin was in his early 30 he was already 57 2-2 with 49 KO against the devision elite !

How many KO does GGG have ? 30 ? against a subpar division GTFO out of hear !!!

GGG would NOT be walking straight into Marvin Hagler power as he has done with his previous opponents.

Marvin's jab would swell and distort GGG face and close his eyes !!

GGG is great fighter ! but on Marvin's level !? NO !

Second Marvin's defense was extra extraordinary , I doubt he would be eating any of GGG bomb for any length of time.

Are you trolling? I mean really? Hagler has taken shots from ATG's and destroyed ATG's and HOF guys but Golovkin has special power. Jesus....You just said probably one of the top 10 most iron willed men in the entire history of boxing couldn't take Golovkin's shots. Congratulate yourself, worst serious thread this year.

It looks like GGG is susceptible to getting hit flush when he stays in the pocket in and around the center of the ring. He's a great fighter when he has his opponents pressed up on the ropes or when they're fighting off their back foot.

Hagler was never a big MW, but that guy was tough as nails, had an iron chin, was arguably the greatest southpaw fighter ever and had good power in both hands. I don't remember him moving backwards in fights too often. I think he could beat him on points in a 12 or 15 rounder.

A chin can only take so many hits. Eventually it cracks. No matter who you are or were.

Exactamundo. Hagler vs GGG has the potential to be a classic. However. GGG isn't stopping the marvellous one. Martin takes him 11. Say no more.

Hagler was an offensive 15 round fighter with a great jab, power and granite chin a bad recipe for GGG.

In Golovkins defence, who has there ever been that that has been a good recipe for?

We're potentially talking about the GOAT MW.

If hagler can walk through hearns shots then golovkin has pretty much no chance, golovkin ****s his pants when his 1st right hand lands and hagler walks straight through it

OMG these people thinking GGG has a chance of stopping Hagler cant possibly be serious. With that thought I assume they must think that GGG has more power than Hearns and john the beast Mugabi. Hagler ate big punchers for breakfast. This idea of GGG stopping or beating Hagler is beyond ridiculous

Not much of a reason to think Hagler goes to war and takes a lot of bombs, unless you just watched Hagler late in his career where he was easier to hit.

He outboxed most of his opponents and methodically broke them down, it was his usual style. He was a solid defense. Not great, but good enough that he didn't absorb an awful lot of punishment in the great majority of his fights.

It's also an exaggeration to say he took Hearns's best bombs. Which is not to say he couldn't if he had taken them, but there's a reason he came straight at Hearns instead of fighting in his usual manner. Hearns was very dangerous and hard to outbox at long range. He outboxed Leonard and Benitez at long range and his most vicious KOs came when he had distance to get full leverage on his right hand.

Cuevas, Duran, and later Shuler, all came at a distance so he could get leverage on his right hand. Hagler was stunned by a short right hand by Hearns early on. He didn't give Hearns the room to get the most leverage on his right hand, nor did he allow him to control the fight in a more tactical boxing match and control the distance. Hagler was all over Hearns like Oscar De La Hoya on an underage girl.

Show me a clip of Hagler being stunned

If Hearns stunned him then you damn right a GGG bomb would

And why such hate on Oscar?
