Judging by the current size of him, I'm not so sure Ricky can make 140lbs again, & if he does, just what the fcuk it would do to him is anyone's guess?

He's going to need another 12/14 week training camp just to get his weight. Anything less & it would not be enough time to lose the weight.

Hatton looks as out of shape as he's ever been, possibly even more out of condition than he's ever been before. He even looks worse than when he embarked on training for Tszyu & he was around 42lbs above LWW then!

He was supposed to fight the WBA "Regular Champ" at 147 but the talks fell through.

Otherwise rumor has it that he might challange Khan if he beats Salita.

i could easily see Hatton come back and face a belt holder right away .. be it Khan, Bradley or Alexander

**however with Hatton wanting the big names (JMM, and Mayweather still, lol)
really doubt he goes after a belt, unless it is vs Khan

People are exagerating his weight like everything else.He ain't over 190 IMO.

He was even heavier in between Collazo and Urango when he ws seriosuly obese and still made 140.
It's blubber not muscle so he can lose it.

A Khan WBA fight is totally on the cards for next summer, more than likely at the M.E.N. Arena. Khan just needs to win his mandatory. Im a big Hatton fan and think that unless through some miracle he gets another shot at FMJ or Pac Man he should retire. Five years ago Khan would of been cut down within six rounds, now i think Ricky will struggle with Khan's speed and could even lose by KO!

    Khan-Hatton would be massive.

I'd like to see him have atleast one tuneup fight before that though.

Before the Pac fight, I couldn't see anyone at 140 beating him. Now I don't know..

He looked horrible on WWE RAW against Chavo. Losing all that weight for every fight no doubt has taken it's toll. He is only 31, and we're talking about him like he's mid 30's. He hopefully has one good fight left.

Sadly your right, as much as I detest Khan, I could see him outsspeeding Hatton, unless of course Ricky catches him one good left hook then timber:good

Hatton is close with GBP, GBP owns The Ring. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Regardless, he could absolutely come in and get a title shot at either 140 or 147. Would it be warranted? Probably not. Hatton is still money and would sell out no matter where the fight was at.

I think Hatton has Mike Tyson syhndrome, ie: when he doubts himself, he can't be effective.

He should string together maybe 4 or 5 fights, progressing towards top contenders or champions.

It will get him back in the game, physically and mentally, and back in shape.

But.. I have a feeling he will jump straight into the deep water and be disappointed.

Even Khan, with his very shaky chin, would beat Hatton, probably via stoppage. Khan is far, far too quick, and Hatton never corrected his fatal flaw of completely telegraphing his punches and lunging in, which leaves him utterly open for a sharp lead-hook counter. Mayweather was the first man to exploit it with the so called 'check hook', then Lazcano did exactly the same thing and had Hatton all over the place but was unable to finish him (partially due to a rather controversial break in the action by the referee so Hatton could tie his shoelace) and finally, Pac did it even more effectively when he floored him in the very first round. (Roach obviously noticed the flaw and rubbed his hands with glee.)

All Khan would have to do is aim for that window of opportunity (and he could EASILY do it, with his speed and Roach's training) and he would stop Hatton fairly easily. Hatton's only chance would be a punchers chance, and Khan has recently tightened his defence, so doubt it would work.
