Could have today' heavyweights have survived during The Great Depression? Could have fighters like Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder with meager purses survived as they were not used to fighting very often to survive the 1930's during pre World War II, people were residing in their automobiles, not enough to eat, would they fight more often?

If they had been born into that era, they would obviously have done like most of the boxer of that time.

I agree, today fighters like other athletes in various sports demand humongous purses to fight. Back in the 1930's fighters would have not received those kind of purses, a fighter fought for survival and prestige, always training as they fought more often.

Andy Ruiz might have flourished back then on an enforced food intake.
Possibly doing well in the competitive welterweights.

If we take most from now and have them live thru those times, I'm afraid there's a lot of crying going on..

Fighters don't have to do what they did in 30's and prior now, if they were in them times I'm sure they would be able to just fine.

Wilder punches too hard for his own body and has sustained all sorts of injuries as a result. Back then, the gloves were smaller and surgeries were far more limited. He’d probably either be shot or forced to retire early due to injuries.

On the other hand, Fury seems like he could fight every two weeks if he wanted to.

Lol no way Fury would be able to fight so often, he is constantly ballooning up and down in weight and that handicap is only mitigated by facing the best 'talent' a lackluster modern division can offer. An aging champion in Wlad, a technique-less puncher in Wilder, are the biggest names on his resume. Fury if he fought frequently would be exposed to competition greater than he is capable handling. If a light-heavyweight can floor him, a starving fighter in the great depression would lay him out.

His weight goes up because he doesn’t fight often. Other than that, you’re welcome to your butthurt delusions.

I mean it's an opinion, but Fury has no resume to back up his ability to handle the competition of the great depression era. Hes a great fighter during a time of mediocrity in the division.
