one stoppage in 62 fights is hardly devastating.

Nunn at 160 has credentials. Schooling champs like tate and kalambay. Decisioning barkley and roldan. Beating up a few welters.

Hearns is quite overrated head to head at 160-168 to be honest with you.

 

I see Toney taking the UD in this one. His defense would win more than anything.

 

I think if hearns not careful with his right hand he can get countered hard by toney, who's best counter is against the right.

No way is Hearns blowing Toney out. Toney has an excellent chin and is pretty hard to land solid on as well. I also think Toney has a good shot at winning this bout. Nice matchup of styles but if anyone were to get stopped in this it would be Hearns.

If he tagged him with a sneaky straight punch the way Reggie Johnson Toney would be ****ed up and out cold in a round or two.

Hell if that had been the straight left michael nunn tagged kalambay with then Toney would have been knocked cold.

It's just not probable.Maybe he would blow him out one out of every 20 or 30 times they fight.

 

Toney wasn't hurt by Reggie Johnson and look at the shot's he took against Jirov and Peter. There's no way Hearns could blow Toney out. Toney KO'ed Michael Nunn and Nunn had a better chin than Hearns.

I too reckon that Hearns would beat Nunn. Against Toney is a close'un, it sorta depends whether or not Tommy can avoid a brawl.

Hearns would outbox Griffith to a decision victory, and I also think he'd beat Gavilan in a tight one. I'd make Napoles slight favourite, but as always Hearns would be a definite 'live threat.
