Please like I said Toney wasn't nearly KO'ed he was knocked more off balanced. He proved his chin against Merqui Sosa, Roy Jones, Nunn almost every other middleweight/super middleweight.
Toney was hurt badly and very stiff legged after it.Johnson's poor finishing skills and lack of power meant he didn't finish the job. Someone like Hearns would have capitalised and stopped him.
I think Hearns is the worse matchup for Napoles. Napoles would box with Hearns, and I don't think that goes well for anyone, not just Napoles. I don't think Griffith tries to box with him, I think he tries to make it a fight on the inside, and doesn't play Hearns's game. Hearns is capable of a stoppage though, but so is Griffith. Close call.
Hearns would beat napoles, he would school him. But he wouldnt beat nunn, weaker chin, smaller fighter and nunn is also an excelent boxer.
He is not much smaller than Nunn at all. His chin is not much weaker, and even while not at his best at MW, was still just as har a hitter as Nunn, even harder I'd say, and while not the mover Nunn was, had the sharper punches with better snap on them.
Plus Nunn ate lead right hands at a ridiculous rate. Even against a shot Curry he was having his head snapped back repeatedly.
