Could Hearns have knocked out Margarito at 147?

if margerito lasted more then 2 rounds aginst some 1 of hearnses ability he'd deserve a standing ovation. I'll say this again in the last 2 decades of welterweight boxing margerito would be a nobody he'd just be a top club fighter in front of the 147's of the 80s and may be a good gate keeper aginst the top 147s of the 90s

 

This is going too far, for real. Margarito took shots from Cotto, it was very impressive, but Cotto is no Hearns, or even Triniidad for that matter. Enough already with this Margo sack swingin. I'm tired of this patter. I'm a fan of his and everytime he fights I'm reminded of why. But it never fails, in between his fights I find myself posting only negatively about him and hating on him because his ****ing idiot nuthuggers go too far all the time.

 

No hearns couldn't kO Benitez in 15,then he couldn't ko Margarito in 12.:deal

 

Hearns is one of the hardest punching guys of all time he had true one-shot KO power. No question in my mind that he would have stopped Margo who has never faced anyone who hit close to that of Hearns.

The punches from Cotto, and Cintron landed pretty flush, and i remember Margo smiling back. I dont think he will smile back to Hearns, but I dont think Hearns will KO him either. Hearns by UD

Julian Jackson would have decapitated Margo in the ring and Hearns would have stopped him as well Tito too. You don't stop punches with your face and survive against guys like that. Some of you idiots have only been watching boxing for a year or so and think Margo is some kind of monster capable of walking thru true ATG power.:-( There are guys in boxing history that would have destroyed him rather easily. I suggest you start to watch the older fighters like the ones I mentioned to accquire some boxing knowledge so you don't make rediculous statements like this again.

 

People dont ****ing think dude. Margo took some shots from a 5'6" Cotto and Cintron. Roberto Duran went 12 with the best Middleweight in the history of the sport....then fought Hearns and got sent to an alternate universe with a right hand. People think Margo has an iron chin now....what was thought of Durans chin before Hearns cracked it like Humpty Dumpty :deal

 

Clottey rocked him and so did santos. The guy isn't made of iron.

I coudln't agree more these guys are either delsuional or just plain stupid. They think because he took shots from a guy like Cintron who has never KOed anyone of note he's got a chin like McCall or Lamotta.:-(

Yes, as he's among the hardest hitting fighters of all-time. Not just at WW, but it was proved how powerful he was when stepping up to MW and LHW.
