Could Bowe take 12 rounds of Tyson's power and relentless pressure and end the fight on his feet?

Well here you out yourself as a tyson fan with an agenda for iron mike, as what you said has nothing to do with the original question the thread posed

He couldn't really put Ruddock away so yeah, Bowe ending the fight on his feet isn't much of a stretch and...

Congratulations on completely missing my point.

 I know. I was just pointing out that Holyfield's durability really shouldn't be in question considering the punishment he took agaisnt Bowe.

I love this weird fairy tale land where Ruddock will stop Evander, and Tyson will crush Bowe apparently...

While you accuse Sangria of putting together an agenda you've apparently done the same in reverse by suggesting that Tyson may not have been able to take punishment from Bowe in the same manner. That was never the question really; but I'll answer it anyway.

Well considering that Ruddock was a bigger puncher than Bowe (as was Bruno and Smith) I'd reckon that the answer to the question is yes.

Is it not obvious with my avatar?

Not really an agenda, just wanting some thought out responses. I feel Holyfield would have trouble with Ruddock. Thanks for your response. :good

I never said Ruddock would stop Evander or that Tyson would crush Bowe. Read my post again if you like.

Holyfield gets a bad rap sometimes for mixing it up and taking too many shots (he's still only been stopped a total of TWICE is a 27 year career) but I rarely saw him be as consistently sloppy as Tyson was for 12 rounds against Ruddock.
Holyfield had bad spells, and he might have had one or two v. Ruddock, but I'd expect him to win that fight convincingly and inside the distance.

Some people give Tyson a ton of points for "chin" because it took a lot of hard shots to KO him. But what's the point in having a great chin if you're going to take enough shots to get KO'd ?

Definetley not, the uppercut that Bowe landed on him was nothing to what Ruddock could do. It would come from the same angle (up and under) and possibly end the fight.
Although i know in my heart that Holyfield would (if he could) try his hardest to get up and fight on because hes nothing short of a WARRIOR!

This is pretty much accurate though. You cant really compare a guy like Ruddock to a guy like Bowe. I think Ruddock would have a real good chance of putting down Evander if he landed the same type of shots that he did on Tyson, but Evander would get up. Bowe was a hell of a finisher, way better than Ruddock, who wasnt a very good one, and thats the difference. It might not have taken as much to drop Evander, but it took a lot to finish him. I dont think Evander could have taken the sustained beating Tyson took against Douglas though.

-No, I personally feel Tyson could go the distance with Bowe..though it may not be in a winning effort. So there goes that theory...odd anyway, since I've done spelled out the meaning of my post.

-This last bold part is just absurd. They all seem like big effective punchers to me, I don't see how Bowe is somehow a step down from them. In fact, being the superior all around offensive force, Bowe probably is a step above them in finishing ability. He certainly had the most success putting solid game fighters away.

Holyfield and Tyson are both really durable, tough guys. Because of his strong legs and compact posture, Tyson may have been harder to take of his feet, but I really don't see much distance between them.

I just find it silly to call into question Evander's durability when he took such a trashing from Bowe and not only saw the final bell, but made it a close competitive fight. I have no idea if Bowe hit harder than Ruddock or not, both men's best punches are certainly going to rattle anybody but Bowe is such a superior offensive fighter, its difficult to see Razor finishing somebody he couldn't, all things being equal.

Last time I checked, Tyson couldn't take it either.

Agree. Ruddock was more of a one punch guy. It takes very good timing to finish a guy off. Ruddock didnt really have that, Bowe did.
