Could Ibragimov be the hardest opponent Wladimir has faced in years?

    Where do I begin....................

Wlad's chin isn't that weak or he would've been KO'd when Sanders landed flush like Lewis was vs. Rahman or Rahman vs. Maskaev or Williams vs. Peter.

Peter isn't much more than brute force at a snail's pace and with Helen Keller's accuracy. He's not the next Tyosn, Ike or Tua and probably never will be anywhere near as skilled as those boxers.

maybe the best all-around fighter but byrd and mccline are right there in terms of skill but style-wise not even close. peter and sanders styles were/are far more troublesome to wlad. sultan is boxer-mover which will pose some issues. a pure boxer gets smoked by wlad like a byrd, brock, etc..cause they stand in the punch zone too much.

Completely agree, Sultan is deceptive but it doesn't mean he can't be stopped.. I was in the opposite corner when he was dropped twice in Gwinnett Georgia by Ahunanya.. it struck me that he was easy as hell to hit.. i still think he is twice the fighter these days since then..

Sanders knocked Wlad down 4 times, at one point he was laying face down on the canvas. I have gave you the stats on Wlad time and time again, he has been TKO'd 3 times by 2 journeymen and a club fighter, he's been down 11 times by 6 different oppenents, if he dont have a glass chin, then I dont know who does.

I think Peter was Wlad toughest match up, becuase Peter was in good shape for that fight, and Peter fouled often.

Having said that, Ibragimov is a good fighter in his prime. I don't think Ibragimov will do as well as Peter did because Wlad is even better now.

    Dude,

Brewster and Sanders can hit a ton. Niether Sanders or Brewster are journyeman. Do you know what the definition of a journyeman is? Getting up a few times vs Sanders shows you have a fair chin.

You know, I saw a vid the other day that showed Wlad sparring and I saw something that I'm sure Sultan's camp also saw. Wlad is working on throwing low right and left hooks and uppercuts also from both arms. Manny and Wlad both know that the only effective strategy that a shorter fighter is going to bring is to get under Wlad's jab and they are planning for that in case it happens. I wouldn't doubt it if Wlad catches Sultan early with a left uppercut straight or hook right combo that ends this thing very early.

The biggest advantage Wlad has now is Manny Steward in his corner
and kudus to Wlad for having the brains to actually listen to his
advice and follow his gameplan. Wlad's jab will be too much for
Sultan to deal with and if he backs that up with these "low right
and left hooks and uppercuts" it could be a short night. I know
Wlad has been begging Manny to help him develop a Lennox Lewis like
uppercut so maybe now is his chance to deliver one consistently
    against the much shorter man.

The simple answer to that is, if it was so bad, he would have been KOed once in his career. Down for the full 10 count, I mean.

I agree with you. It's not as bad as people make out. What is his big problem is keeping under control when he gets his hard. He panics and that's not a good thing in boxing.

Ibragimov is a much better fighter than he has been given credit for. However, Vlad should win by TKO or KO mid rounds.

    I just hope it's a good fight.
That's what the division really needs, not a dull points decision or one-sided quick blowout.

I also noticed he takes right hooks too easily. Sultan and him team might have noticed it too.
