you call me biased when you use constantly his fight with jimmy young to argue against him in fantasy matches prime vs prime, but then when we argue about size you ignore conveniently his weight in the young fight(229) , and you use his 217 pounds against frazier , but you are constantly cherry picking the highest weights of the fighter that you are defending, pathetic.

Foreman had strength, power and resistence, but not aerobic endurance.
He began to wane after a few rounds.
Foreman could knock out a master of defense such as Johnson in a few rounds?
Johnson lost twice by knockout, but when it was green. Versus Willard, he was old and collapse only after twenty rounds.
It is hard to think that Foreman could pull him down in a short time when he was at its peak.
Passing the time, Foreman would increasingly tired and so ...

    Johnson wins on points

One needs to pick PRIME weights because we are matching prime fighters. Best wins would be the place to choose prime weight.

Only the neophytes make a big deal about weight.

There is a pattern in Foremans career in terms of not being able to handle slick boxers. You suggest to ignore that George lost to the two smartest boxers he faced when Johnson was the smartest of them all?

So, what was Johnson's prime weight? And who did he beat at that weight?

And who did Foreman beat at his prime weight?
So, are you making a deal about prime weights or not? Must you always contradict yourself within a few sentences?

The entire idea of weight was not brought up by me. A poster incorrectly stated incorrect data. I am only correcting him. Whether prime Johnson would walk into the ring at 190 or 210 would not matter one iota. Johnson had the skills to outbox any slugger especially one with a poor track history vs slick boxers as does Foreman. Odds are the very best Johnson beats the very best Foreman.

I think Jack Johnson beats the raw George Foreman Ali beat. Johnson at his best is not as shot as Frazier or as frozen as Ken Norton. Foreman was among the least prepared challengers ever. So few competitive fights where he was matched remotely evenly.

Don't get me wrong,George was a huge talent but he just was not prepared for a seasoned well prepared elite fighter who would hit him back first time around. Sure George was strong and big, but so was Jim Jeffries. Mcvey and Marvin Hart were big guys and better men than Foreman blasted out in 1972. Frank Moran and Jim Johnson too. I don't see size being a problem.

I see inexperience being a problem for George. Just like Ali showed it was.
