The only gullible ****head on this board is you. 6 months previous to fighting Jones, Toney fought a Cruiser Vinson Durham, you fool, at well over 168.

You would be better off taking this s.h.i.t. up with Loudon. He believes Jones should get a pass for having to lose weight for Tarver after Ruiz, but like you he probably thinks Toney doesn't.

It was all down to Kallen that Toney was kept around 168 for the Jones fight. Whether or not his fanboys accept that is of no consequence to me. I suppose you will claim that reports of Toney going around the Las Vegas strip after the fight with a loaded gun threatening to kill Kallen was all fabricated too.

Try looking at the fight again. You MIGHT notice that where Jones looks ripped, Toney just looks like a guy that has had to lose too much weight. There is hardly any definition there. I say you " might " notice, but first you'd have to take your head out of Jones' ass.

    frankenfrank,

    That's nonsense.

They just didn't have 'some' talent, and it wasn't just cautious matchmaking.

    Of course they're true greats.

Look, I personally can't stand Floyd Mayweather. But I can appreciate the fact that he's a true great of boxing.

Ray was also a great fighter. He had to fight, not box, but fight a peak Tommy Hearns to beat him. Then you've got the Benitez win plus Hagler etc.

Roy was also a true great, who made decent fighters look like they were C and D class guys. And despite what you may believe, Roy didn't duck and dodge everyone.

You may be right, and I'd love to hear more.

All I've read, are the excerpts from the Donald McRae book - Dark Trade.

    You may have read it?

It was general zod who introduced me to the great book, and here is his old thread with some of the excerpts.

So I'd like to thank him for the great upload.

I can give Toney a pass for his performance, but IMHO, if he'd have been 100% fit, and he'd have fought to his full capabilities, I can envisage the same result.

    I truly believe that.

We've covered Roy's weight loss for Tarver numerous times, and I respect your stance on that.

Obviously, I've no first hand knowledge on the matter, but IMHO, I believe that burning muscle at almost 35, must be harder than burning fat at 26.

Regarding the fall out of Toney and Kallen, here's general zod's old thread discussing it.

How would RJJ have done against Liles and Collins?

I think Liles would have been a hard nights work for Roy, without question.

I think the Collins fight would have been relatively easy, after some early pressure.

And what do these quotes show? That you try to waste my time?
It only solidified my claims if anything.
Jackie Kallen is the typical manager - a POS in polite words.

Hearns was drained to death against Leonard, just like Benitez and Lalonde were and Duran was in their rematch.
That was the typical Mirena-Leonard way of winning fights.
The typical Leonard performance followed 1 out of these 2 scenarios :
    1) The opponent losing for the record and never fighting at the weight again (Benitez, Duran #2, Hearns, Hagler, Lalonde).
    2) Leonard losing (Duran #1, Norris, Camacho)
Leonard even managed a combination of the 2 in Hearns #2.

Marquez was both old and severely undersized against Floyd.
    Totally worthless "win" for Floyd.
    Alvarez was drained to death.
Another manufactured scam for the record books.
Mosley was just too old and worn out by then.
    Cotto was damaged goods.
Hatton was due to Cortez being the referee.
DeLaHoya was past his prime but still arguably won.
Castillo despite being both older, smaller and not especially durable, arguably beat Floyd too.
Floyd avoided all of his threats.

Roy's fights against Pazienza, Vaca and McCallum symbolize his entire career, a manufactured fraud.
You are a manipulative liar that just wasted my time and everyone's time of those that read that thread in the link you posted.

Even if you don't like Floyd or Roy, they're both still two of the most naturally talented fighters ever.
