I believe so, but it'd be his hardest match to date. Tyson wasn't as limited as the other men he fought, and Young didn't have all the skills to exploit any of the limitations that he did have.

Michael Spinks says no.. the difference is that Spinks saw prime Tyson in the ring and Green saw him outside the clothing stor

Spinks opened up and fought a lot more than Young. Green spent the whole fight spoiling and not engaging, that's how Young would do it. Spinks tried lead right hands and to fight a bit vs. Tyson. But lol at Dapper Dan watching Mitch Green's exploded face

    Nope.

Jimmy wants to play the feint game on the outside. Kill time. And Tyson won't be a head hunter here. That is what Jimmy likes best and lets him land that under rated quick right hand of his. But those Tyson combos get the job done. Sure, he misses punch #1. But he is in range then for #2 & #3 and that's where the damage gets done.

    Hi there,Fergy.

Yeah I think that Jimmy could indeed go the distance with Tyson. He was just as durable as Tucker,Smith,Green or Tillis.

    Yes.

Tyson was an aggressive counter-puncher, and it's hard to make a timid, feint-weaving slickster like Young does so. Jimmy likely smothers and clinches through the more forceful approach.

    Nothing's guaranteed though.

If Tillis, Green, and Tucker could, then so could he.
Let's not forget that Young took punches from Foreman.

I won’t say yes or no but I’d give him a chance. Guys who were more hittable and less durable managed to go the distance with Mike Tyson.

Yes, I’m torn. Could he? Certainly. Would it be likely? Maybe 50-50.

No he couldn't. Styles make fights, and also in this case mentality. Foreman was a shell of the fighter that faced Joe Frazier, having had the Aura of invincibility stripped from him against Ali.
Foreman stopped setting up his attacks after Ali, and waded in with full powerd punches as if to prove he could ko anyone.
That's the version of Foreman Jimmy Young defeated. A mentally scarred version of Foreman that had a full mental breakdown after that fight that he didn't recover from for 10 yrs.
Prime Mike Tyson was a totally different animal ( as was prime Foreman Tbh)
He wouldn't just wade in hoping to land a home run shot to stop Young.
He'd set up his attack with deliberate body shots .
Tyson would slow Young down, and eventually stop him with in 6 or 7 rds at the most.
Young wouldn't survive prime Tyson or Foreman TBH.

LOL What? First of all, Mitch was far from bad. Second of all, Mike destroyed him.
