Ngannou is supposedly a converted boxer, right? Anyways, boxing is a major aspect of his fighting style.

 

Then you would have to ask how far he got with boxing, and why he didn't stick with it.

 

If the question is "would Sullivan ever have fought a black fighter", then the answer is "he might have done it in certain circumstances".

Like with Jack Dempsey, the narrative is complex on this.

 

Just like we would have to ask, how good a boxer Sullivan really was.
