Its well documented that calzaghe tried to get jones and Hopkins in the ring in their primes but calzaghe was turned down by both.Yet people say it is because they where shot when jc fought them that he won (Hopkins is a world champion to this day years later).
I think it is fairly obvious that he was better than the 2 of them back in the day and when they fought but people refuse to accept his greatness

    Oh dear.
RJJ at his best didn't overlap with JC at his best but if it had RJJ would easily EASILY beat Joe.
Are you forgetting the young JC saying he wouldn't fight RJJ unless he was offered the crown jewels?

I would say I'm a bigger fan of joe. Buy prime for prime Roy beats him

Joe would never fight someone near that level of ability so he was never in the race. 'I'm not chasing roy jones, I don't want tough fights'.

Joe would NEVER enter the ring with roy back then. BUT in theory, if you disguised Roy jones in a V FOR VENDETTA mask, a BIG BIRD costume or a GORILLA SUIT and lied to joe by telling him he was fighting a one armed Antwun Echols or a retiring Eubank, joe would jump into the ring, chase roy for 12 rounds relentlessly but lose quite handily in a fight that tested the stamina of both individuals.

Roy at his prime beats everyone at his weight.
Peoples minds are affected by the late career shot Jones.

and your mind is affected by the smoke screen that Jones had around him his whole career.

if you're the so called best, as he claimed, you DO NOT duck every fighter that you should fight and instead take on fighters that will make you look better than you actually are. :good
