No Chavez, would not beat Margarito, he does not have the foot speed to stay away from Margarito(solid chin) for 12 rounds. And above 135 is not Chavez's forte.

This is homer-ism. Easily? Chavez would lose to margarito, Chavez does not have the foot speed to stay away from Margo's power for 12 rounds.

A more power Mosley could not KO Margarito, and now Chavez by KO on a weight he is not good at.:patsch

Margarito beats Chavez at 147 above.

    exactly....
chavez would be at his chest all night for a UD victory IMO....and he wont get hit as much as manny did...chavez had a unique way of avoiding punches....

Laporte, Lockridge, and Taylor were not really "slick boxers". The only slick boxer he had trouble with before he was in his mid 30s was Whitaker, who would give anyone problems.

Despite being far better/greater than Margarito, Chavez is probably just too damn small for Margarito.

Margacheato is a bum, how dare you motha ****as compare a cheater, slow punching bag statue (he had a tough chin and great stamina tho i give him that) fighter to the greatest mexican fighter of all time in Chavez

    This is an outrage!!

Actually now that I think about it, maybe Chavez's bodywork does Margarito in. Margarito seemed hurt from the first right to the body that Mosley landed on him, and Pacquiao landed a bodyshot that hurt Margarito in the 4th round. That shot was on Margarito's right side, which is where Chavez would be aiming all night long with that left hook to the body.

It's still hard for me though to pick Chavez in mythical matchups as such a high weight. The guy peaked at 135 against Rosario and didn't really do much of note above 140.
