Could Julio Ceasar Chavez take the hatton punch PAC landed

I think it slows Chavez down a little, for a few seconds or so... it was a perfect punch but prime Chavez never once came close to tasting canvas, he absorbed punches thru about 90 fights & 3 divisions (130-140) vs the best of the 80s & 90s & barely blinked, he was iron chinned & willed even by Mexican standards.... no way he doesn`t come thru this punch with flying colours & bust pacquiao up.

JMO.

 

Julio always kept his eyes focused even while taking punches, the likeliness of him being hit by that exact punch that Hatton never seen coming is not very strong.

Could JCC have taken Pac's punch that KO'd Hatton? Of course he could dumb****. atsch Have you ever watched JCC fight? He had a solid chin. I can't even recall when I saw him taste the canvas. And that includes his fights vs. DLH, who was a beast at 140.

Pac caught Hatton with a great bomb. And one has to consider Hatton at the time as well. Would that punch KO anyone 140 and below? It could certain fighters. But not all. Everything's an all or nothing with a weak minded fool like you. Boxing isn't like that.

You post a couple of vids, think that means you gave a proper analysis? You haven't even given a real argument as to why he could, or could not. Everyone knows that punch would have felled anyone up to middleweight, most at light heavyweight, and some at heavyweight. It was a perfectly timed bomb. It would have staggered Frazier easily.

Of course it would have destroyed Chavez. No question.

 

Yes Chavez Sr would get stunned no doubt but not kayoed though. No fighter in the history of the 140 pound division would eat that punch like nothing, it was too perfect of a shot to not feel.

He wouldn't have gotten ktfo'ed, but he would've been in mad trouble. If he beats the count I can picture Pac finishing the not-even-close-to-slick Chavez raining the dazed and defenseless Mexican with punches in bunches leaving the ref no choice but to stop it. Chavez was overrated. He lost to the good ones and beat the mediocre guys. Pac would have destroyed him. Bad style for him.

 

If he walked into the shot and didn't see it coming, he'd be in some trouble. Not knocked out, but it wouldn't at all surprise me to see Chavez have to pick himself up off of the canvas.
