He not only has huge power
    But good boxing skill

He could bulk up a bit and HW is very weak

Wasnt Povetkin a 175 before? And Povetkin is no where as good as Kova was!!

If there was some really weak titlist maybe, I wouldn't discount that.

I would love to see him test his mettle at cruiser vs Usyk. Usyk would maul him eventually imho.

I don't think the style he's mastered that he's so effective with translates well moving up to cruiserweight, let alone heavyweight. But he's damn good at 175.

As a primo Kovalev nuthugger on here, I don't see him doing well at HW, he could possibly take out some low hanging fruit at Cruiser but Kovalev isn't all that big, his frame is perfect for 175, he might be sluggish at 200 even.

He should stick at LHW and become as good as he can be for as long as he can.

HW is a terrible division. Anything is possible.

Hes huge. He walks around 200. Froch never cut. If Sergey didnt his power would be even greater. And the current HW division is a disgrace

    Kovalev beats them all

(id favour Sanders if he was still around though)

He lives down the street from me. His walk around weight is big. He has a huge frame. It might be a possibility for him down the line.

I'm almost the exact same size as Kovalev, only a half an inch shorter, slightly longer arms, similar shoulder width, and I'm usually around 200, and the 6'5 guys I've been around are beasts and I feel tiny next to them, its one thing to beat up gangly 6'3 guys at 175 but another thing entirely to take guys on who outweight you by 60 pounds. He may have a punchers chance with a few of them but the giants in the division are far too big for him.

He could but if I were asked right now to guess yes or no if he will, I would have to say no.

having such a huge frame is what gives him such dominance at LHW, pushing and clinching bigger guys and coming out on top is not easy,,,

i am sure he could no doubt beat some top 50 dudes and maybe even a top 10 dude but i think he would struggle against good strong well trained/skilled heavys at the top level. Put it this way, i could see Vlad killing him.
