Could Larry Holmes or Rocky Marciano beat Deontay Wilder?

Tyson was obviously better defensively than Holyfield with the kicker that his scary offense and offensive domination made his defense that much better.

What did Tyson say about learning to beat Tyson from the Bowe fights? Source? I don't feel his early fights at heavy were overrated because people weren't overly rating them. There were more questions than superlatives.

I think you are being harsh on Holyfield. He was fighting a damn good determined big man in Bowe. We would have found out more about Bowe if fights with Tyson and Lewis were made. Eddie futch had some immense things to say about his potential and that is good enough for me.

 

Holmes could beat Wilder no problem. I think he would He would land his jab and right hand and stop him in 5 or 6. Marciano? Just too small. At this point can we really put Marciano in against a heavyweight of today?

 

Joyce is a novice pro who stands square on, his defence is very leaky.He took a few good shots from Stiverne but the sturdiness of his chin is still unknown.I think his power is overated,but he has an excellent engine.imo He would give Rocky a good fight for a few rounds.Miller is also largely unproven and I agree he isnt a dynamic banger,but again he has a high work rate for one so heavy.If he has a chin he might give AJ some problems.
I repeat muscles don't make you a puncher.
